This is my favorite... :)

VT3, that is a stunning vintage piece, and moreover an interesting not often seen colour barrel, can you give more details please?

Thanks for posting the video of installing new cork on MB 139. I don't speak Japanese so I did not understand what the guy was saying but the video was very informative. However, I think he forgto one crucial step. I thought you had to "cook" the cork before installing it back into the pen. You can hear the squeaking noise when he extends the piston. Other than this I thought his technique was very straight forward. I probably would also use a heat gun where I can control the temperature very tightly. Celluloid is very sensitive to heat. I would also cover the inkwindow with some kind of insulation when heating the front section.

Hi Pensively,

These are additonal pics of Montblanc Meisterstück K124P. :)

Really rare 1930s "Pearl and Black Mottled" FP of Mont-

blanc. It's particularly worth noting K124P was produced

in 1935~1938.

My oh my!!! What a treat, thank you :notworthy1: .....

I have been quite taken by the 12X types of late and hope to be adding one or two more to my collection in the coming months.

Hi johnkim424,

He dares doing that because cork will shrink

(vary across the ages).

Oh, thanks for useful information!! :)

You must be a nice craftsman.

This is a joke movie I've made.

Be careful when you insert Sailor nibs into the

Lol! And people think J Herbin bottles are hard to handle...

What music is that?

Thanks again, I have your youtube channel bookmarked.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I forgot the title of this song... but I found this song

on YouTube by chance. This is an Italian music, probably.

Thanks a lot, Sailor Kenshin!

I feel really happy because my channel has been bookmarked. :roflmho:

I really liked the making of video's. Makes me want to try such a pen right away.

Unfortunally they seem pretty pricey, and 17 months waiting also doesn't really help.

Nevertheless, thanks for sharing!

Welcome to my topic and thanks for the comment! :)

I do like making videos as well.

After I referred to your profile, I knew you also

like photography like me. What a coincidence!

Once I've used Leica M3 SS. :roflmho:

Now, my favorite cameras are RICOH GR1s and Nikon

New FM2. (I always carry them around every day.)

I have a question... How did you determine that the cap corresponds to the barrel in your K124P?

I have never seen one with the black cap and the black & pearl barrel and in the book from which you included information

there is nothing that establishes that particular case. I look all over the Rosler book but did not find it.

I have a black & pearl which does not include a K although is smaller (12 cm) ... and looking at your images

the cap seems too large for the barrel... since I am not an expert maybe you have an answer

Thank you in advance

This is a picture of "the black cap and the black barrel model"

produced in 1935-1938. I hear that there are some variations of

K124. Incidentally, this type costs 2500 US dollars in Japan. ^^;

Hope this helps.

Pavoni,

I am glad you enjoyed it...

Thank you for the images of the black version. It confirms although mine is smaller it is not a K.

Nevertheless I am still not convinced of that pen with a different color in the barrel and in the cap

since I have not found any reference.

The new Montblanc editions often use a black cap with colored barrel, but I never saw it in the pens from the thirties.

Maybe someone else could help to clarify this.

Either it is real and I have no reason to think the barrel do not correspond, either the cap is from a black pen.

I am sure insisting is not unreasonable.

Thank you, regards and happy holidays

That is a beautiful pen. I agree with Pavoni it is simply stunning. Is the nib 14C? When you have time please tell us more about this pen. This picture should be listed in the "rare ones" post that is pinned in the MB Forum.

Happy Holidays to you!!

Thanks for your information. :)

Taking the factor into account, I'm wondering this K124P

consists of two different pens. One is "the black cap and

the black barrel" model. And another is "the black & pearl

cap and the black & pearl barrel".

As I'm unfamiliar with Montblanc 124, (if is there anybody

who know much about it) please tell me.

Thanks.

Merry Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful day, ALL. :roflmho:
