Hi Virtu. How are you doing? Remember me? Thanks for your advice, I finally purchased Sailor Pro Color 500 via web shop the other day. You saved me the trouble of looking for it actually. The aqua color is so cute for me. Nib is fine but feels really smooth and wet. I love it and use it for my daily use. Thanks again. Symphony :cloud9:

Hi symphony. Fine thanks! :)

Of course, I remember you. lol

I feel glad to hear you got ProColor 500.

Hope you'll enjoy wonderful fountain-pen life,

Wonderful videos. These guys are all true shokunin.

I also enjoyed some of your other videos - I am using film cameras as well. Even your holiday videos are fun to see, despite the fact that I don´t know you or your family. Where is that beach resort you show in one of the videos?

I have been to Japan before, and will go again this year. I may be able to pass one or two of the shops run by the gentlemen in the videos from the DVD you got.

After being a huge fan of Sailor inks since the seasonal limited editions appeared a few years ago - and recently getting two of the Kobe inks, which I promise to review - I'm getting my first Sailor fountain pen, a Sapporo with a music nib. My plan is to wait till pay day before sending it off for grinding into an italic sharp enough to cut beard hair. Well, something approaching my Brause dip pens, at any rate.

I'd never looked hard at Sailor pens because they don't do italic nibs. But getting a fancier pen with an italic nib than a Lamy Al-Star (rhodium-plated nib, nice bit of resin, that sort of thing) is pretty expensive, and I haven't seen any factory italic nibs on fancier pens that are really any crisper than my humble Pilot Plumix nibs.

So I saw a Sapporo on ebay, and even if I get a custom grind it will total just over half the cost of an Aurora Talentum, which was previously on my wishlist. It still is, and it's a beautiful pen, but it's not exactly cheap.

The Sapporo in the UK is expensive, too, so I can't quite believe I'm getting it from abroad for the price of two Lamy Al-Stars, a third of the price of a Talentum, less than the cost of an admittedly nice Esterbrook I was watching on ebay last night. Doesn't seem right, does it?

I'm really glad to heat you're also interested in film cameras

and going to come to Japan this year!

The beach you saw on YouTube is the coast of the Japan Sea.

And they are my family.

I hope you'll enjoy shopping at the fountain pen shop in Japan. :)

The last part of the "part names and functions" video is great, giving you a realistic impression of how ink and air interchange inside the pen. Thanks for posting this, Virtu. :happyberet:

Thank you, MYU. :)

I still have many videos to post.

The series of videos "Japanese Famous Pen Craftsman" are NOT over yet.

I'll upload them in the near future!

I was just thinking about trying to take a video of Sailor Music nib

again because I actually use it instead of italic nibs. The ink flows

more than enough.

If you get Sailor Sapporo Music nib -it's not called Sapporo in Japan

though-, I bet you can enjoy the world of calligraphy!

Hi! I've just watched your new video about filofax organizer on youtube. I couldn't understand what you were saying but the content of the video might be informative. Thanks for the sharing. By the way, are you going to post more new videos about FOUNTAIN PENS? I always check your channel and look forward to seeing it to come. If you post new video about Platinum pen, it would be a great pleasure for me!!

Best wishes,

inkstick

Thanks for the hearty comment. :)

Really gald to hear that.

Of course, I have a plan to upload the vids about Japanese fountain pens

more. But it's still under making now. To tell the truth, I am now making

the vid about Sailor Music nib again! lol Because one person who belongs

to The FPN asked me about Music nib. So, I have to make the vid.

If I have a chance to pick up Platinum fountain pens, I'll tell you!

Thanks,

VT3

Hi ALL,

Having been researching Sailor fountain pens for a long time,

I've just tried to make the video review of Sailor Music nib in

English for members of FPN.

Before this post, I have already shared some research results

on this topic, however, most of them have no English subtitles

or no explanations in English.

So this is the first time to share the fountain pen review in

Engllish.

This may be hard (for native speakers) to understand what I'm

saying though, if this is informative, I'd be more than happy to

be of service to you.

Super!

Thank you for the video review. :notworthy1:

I understood your English perfectly.

By the way, please tell me what kind of Sailor's nib is the best you have ever written with ?

Thanks in advance!

Your handwriting is excellent and so is your English. Another great video! Thanks.

Actually, though I can only understand a few of the words, your videos in Japanese are very clear because of the excellent visual information.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Your English is excellent. I feel your review is always tempting for me. I have to get Sailor's one someday. Thanks!

Thank you so much for your watching and your hearty comment.

I've just uploaded one more video today.

Please enjoy watching Japanese craftsmanship.

Thank you. I'm really glad to hear that.

I felt at ease! lol

Your question is tough to answer because Sailor's nibs are all

smooth and easy to handle. But if I choose one, Zoom nib is the

smoothest writer of all Japanese nibs, I think. :)
