Your pictures are wonderful too!! Anyway, I would love to buy myself a lovely new Sailor pen.. a simple one with a Naginata Togi Medium Fine nib. Gotta go hunt on Engeika... NMF is rare on standard bodies here! You only get them on models like Susutake and all. Which is a pity! I'm out for the utilitarianism.

Thanks for the kind words, nicholasyeo. I think it's the most useful

nib (to write with "in English") than any other Naginata Togi nibs.

I hope you will get "the simple one" on standard bodies in your

country in the near future!

Hi, inkstick. This is the video of Sailor Nib Clinic in Japan.

In this video, Mr. Kawaguchi and Mr. Nagahara (Jr.) is doing

adjustment for nibs.

Enjoy watching! :)

Awesome!!! I wanna join the event in the future!

I have to go to Japan. lol

Anyway, thanks for the sharing.

Sailor often offers a free service like this in cities

across Japan. In this event, customers are allowed to

bring "any quantities or brands" for the nib masters to

adjust the nib. Mr. Kawaguchi and Mr. Nagahara are famous,

has been conducting Pen Clinics across cities in Japan as

well as throughout the world.

They are the top two respected great legendary pen masters

in Sailor.

I hope you'll join this FREE event someday in your country!

Nice. I'm considering my first "serious" (that is, expensive) fountain pen and the Sailor Pro Gear certainly looks attractive. I could only find them with M nibs though. My guess is that their M nib writes like a Lamy F? I'm used to Lamy EFs but I could use something smoother, even though I'm always looking for the finest line possible.

*edit: typo!

"Sugoi, desu ne?"

At a pen show in New York, I was able to watch an American nibmeister at work. He had similar equipment and I was amazed at his skill.

Thanks for another great video.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Good question.

The letter width of Sailor M is just like a LAMY EF!

Incidentally, Montblanc F is a bit thicker than Sailor M.

Pelikan EF is a bit finer than Sailor M. :)

Gouletpens.com has a great tool (invaluable, really) called the "Nib Nook" that lets you compare line widths across many brands. (They might not have the exact nib you're looking for but they do have examples from some Sailor models and all the Safari nibs.)

Thanks, VT3!

I've watched the video over three times. lol

So nice.

By the way, I ordered Platinum President (ST) with B nib.

Which is more popular in Japan, silver trim or gold trim?

I have both ST and GT!

Thanks.
