Sailor Nibs Comparison And Japanese Famous Pen Craftsman

Interesting read and thanks for the testimonials Virtu  The sailor after sales service in Japan might be awesome but in Europe I don't know. I have had to deal with MB, Pelikan, Montegrappa and Omas after sales service and in all honesty I always have had an outstanding after sales service. My only problem with Sailor is that they mostly make pens with convertors that cost a lot of money. Otherwise their craftsmanship is very high. I also like Danitrio which has a very high craftsmanship and at default of making piston fillers makes eye droppers. The only sailor I want is the realo that was based on the king of pen which was built in 500 examples and which had a real piston filler.

Yep, I do think Sailor Realo is one of the most useful fountain pens in

current products of Sailor company. Unfortunately, the Realo doesn't
come in rhodium trim yet. I've been keeping an eye out on a rhodium
trim Sailor (1911/ProGear) Realo but it hasn't been released yet. ^ ^;

Hi Virtu, thanks for all the videos and useful information you have presented in this thread. Have you tried the Sailor Crosspoint and King Eagle nibs? I'm interested in getting one of them for drawing/sketching, but was wondering which one would be more versatile in the hand. What do you think?

You're more than welcome. :)

Of course, I've ever had both of two nibs. If you draw or sketch something,

I would like you to try to use Crossmusic nib!! It is really amazing nib!

Please refer to the video below (from 4:53 to 5:15).

Hi Virtu,

Thanks for sharing the video's. I specially like the craftsman video's like the Sailor clinic. Unfortunately I don't understand Japanese but it's great to see these specialist at work.

I'm currently waiting for my first Sailor to arrive in the next few days. A 1911 large with a fine nib.

Thanks a lot, Sandeman. :)

Sailor F nib is much finer than that of European one.

But, feels really smooth and wet (not scratchy!). I bet you'd like it.

Have a good weekend,

Hi there,

Today, I've finally gotten the really useful and comfortable writer JUSTUS 95!

The Pilot Justus 95 fountain pen is a new and adjustable nib fountain pen that looks quite intriguing. This isn't just a plain fountain pen --- they have a black resin barley pattern with gold trim. The Justus 95 has a 14k gold nib that is adjustable, allowing the user to make the nib softer or more rigid by changing the tension ajduster at the top of the gripping section. The "H" corresponds to a hard setting, offering smooth writing, and "S" corresponds to a soft setting, offering line variation and a flexible point. There is a full range of settings to choose from. The Justus 95 fills by cartridge / converter and is available with a fine or medium nib. These are currently available for pre order, and is scheduled for an October 2013 launch in the US, though it has been available in Japan for awhile now!

I do recommend JUSTUS 95 for the person who likes Japanese fountain pens. ; )
