Made in England

I googled that, but received no answers. Can anyone help? Does anyone know something about this pen? Any answer is very appreciated.

I agree. That's a clip style that Wyvern used.

According to Steven Hull's book, [P67] it is indeed a Wyvern produced Pen, in 1933.

Apparently there was no more information about the Abbey Pen.

Sorry 'bout that!

Thanks a lot for your answers.

I'm a it surprised, because I wouldn't have thought that Wyvern made a pen without a solid gold nib. But: the pen is quite solid, everything seems to be well made and sturdily built, the J-bar in very good condition, the clip strong, nothing flimsy about this pen.

It's nice to own a Wyvern ...

To Uncle Red: Sorry, no idea how it writes, it's part of my red/black Ebonite collection.

Here is a “ABBEY” button filler with a steel nib. According to Steve Hull the Abbey was made by Wyvern in 1933 (The English Fountain Pen Industry 1875-1975) p. 67. The colour is fabulous with a hint of shimmer a little like the early Conway Stewart Dinkies. I think this pen may be made of casein, I know Wyvern used casein as I sold a Wyvern Pixie P&P set which was Red Candle Flame, identical to the Dinkie 550. It needs a service and a new sac, I’m ok with lever fillers but no experience with button fillers so I’ll likely move this pen on to a Wyvern collector. Any further information on this pen would be welcome.
