Fpn Inks - Ready For Ordering

Received my Starry Night and Tupile a few days ago, and couldn't be more pleased. I had wanted Starry Night for a long time, after reading all the praise it has received in the forums, and it certainly hasn't disappointed! I only use my favorite blue (Parker Penman Sapphire) occasionally, and Starry Night my become my go to blue! Thanks again for all the hard work that went into making these inks available.

New member here, do you know when the Galileo is due back in stock and (rough) shipping costs to UK?

Hi Mike,

We were told we would get our new shipment "some time after Christmas", as Nathan has to get the chemical components first from his own suppliers.

If you'd like to, you can order ink now, and it will be put on our preorders list. In that case you will be notified by means of an invoice the moment it has arrived, which you can accept, change or decline. IOW, in that case you are on the list of those who will receive ink when it comes back in again, but will have no obligation to buy any.

HTH, warm regards, Wim

Many thanks Wim, order sent!

I got my two bottles of Galileo Manuscript Brown this week, and very much like the color. Isn't too green, too red, too dark, too anything. Squarely in the middle of what I like in brown ink, but not a compromise in any way.

I think the rush on these inks might indicate that a new FPN ink would be an instant success.

Yes, probably. We'll have to see first whether we will have the funds to create a new ink after all is said and done, but yes, I can think of a few more interesting colours ;).

I'd vote for a warm earthy green. :)

Not a bad idea at all - we even have a name for that ink already ;). We made up a few names a couple of years ago for a variety of additional inks :).

I reckon this one would be Newton Apple Green ;). I am sure in Newton's days apples were mostly a warm earthy shade of green :).

Although a nice, deep emerald green wouldn't be bad either :).

Warm regards, Wim

Good to hear you got yours, Jefferey.

It is a very nice colour, and an ink with very good flow, especially for a permanent ink. And under certain conditions, with the right paper, it will even dry like the ink used by Galileo - a nice deep brown with an occasional hint of a red edge... :)

NEWTON'S APPLE GREEN?!!

Dude. That would ROCK. :D

And you'd know I'd have to have a few bottles. ;)

:D

Of course, named after an early relative of yours, when they still lived in the UK :).

I am TOTALLY IN for a GREEN!!!!

But, "apple green" sounds like a bright, crisp green and I feel we have too many of those.

Lets' stick to the "vintage" look.. something more towards olive.

***DA VINCI GREEN***.. I even have an idea fort the label.. :eureka:

A Mona Lisa with some emphasis on the green... :puddle:

Would it be impatient of me to ask if my order shipped out during one of the weekends past? I have to be patient about getting it because it's got to be rowed across the Atlantic by a team of Artic Terns, or however post is sent from North America to Europe these days, but it's easier to wait if one knows the stuff has already embarked upon its travels. TIA and cheers.

And of course then you'd have to make a pen to match it.... :roflmho:

My Galileo Manuscript Brown arrived today. I broke off playing just long enough to come and tell you how much I love it. BROWN brown. I should have ordered two. Shawn, thanks so much for doing all this work.

I would go along with the Newton Green. A nice natural green tone, earthy.
