Your Favorite Sheaffer Fountain Pen

Nathaniel Harter

Recommended Posts

I had several Sheaffer's in the last years, most had to go, but three remained

1. 1942 Tuckaway

2. Snorkel Autograph

and at last my favorite:

3. Targa Vintage ("Grapes and Leaves") with Factory Oblique Stub

As I don't have the pen with me right now, here's a picture from sheaffertarga.com

Greetings,

Michael

The Sheaffer Snorkel began my fascination with fountain pens, so all those are my favorites (I try to use them in rotation).

Currently, though, having finally got one, I truly love my Sheaffer Valor. I feel a bit wrong about that, as it's post-Fort Madison, but it's a great looking pen and a darned good writer!

My student or school pens are awesomely smooth! I also like my Peyton Street Edition made by Bexley, with its inlaid imperial nib and balances with lifetime nibs are also very nice!

Guess I have to say that I like all of my Sheaffers and don't have a clear favorite

May you and those you love, be always blessed with peace and never ending joy.

From left to right: Targa 1001, PFM III, Triumph Imperial, Lifetime Balance Vac Fill, Admiral Snorkel and at last, a mechanical pencil (don't know exactly the model...).

Look at my horse, my horse is amazing!!!

PdAg on that nib. Is that a silver-palladium amalgam?

Is that a PFM II? Very rare model you have because of the nib :puddle: :notworthy1: I am just jealous

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

A rare model indeed, because the cap is not brushed, but chrome. I was very lucky to find it ;)

Say what? It looks like a PFM V cap but you say it is chrome? As far as I know that model doesn't exist as a cataloged PFM or even as one models that were planned but never released. Does it have a chrome cap at the end of the blind cap or just plastic?

I'd love to see more pictures. Thanks for posting it.
