Thanks to all of you for your kind comments and support. I'm truly amongst my dearest friends here as well as on the other FPN forums. I'm honored to be able to serve your interests, and promise to do my best. How strange it is to find so many friends who share such a unique focus of interest!

I guess, in our celebrations of all things Jeffery, I can note this here: he and I joined FPN at nearly the same time, and after striking up some conversation realized we hail from the same home town, and actually spent years here at the same time! These little objects and their fuel, the mechanisms of writing, bring us together in many ways.

I'm also thinking of this because the other day I did an ad hoc ink inventory. When I joined in March of 2011, I had precisely two pens, and one bottle of ink. I now have 23 bottles of ink (with another just ordered from the Goulet's today), and just under 50 ink samples. :yikes:

We won't discuss the pens. In all deference to our new moderator, of course.

Welcome Jeffery, and I promise not to start threads asking if people think it is safe to use THAT ink. (Which ought to reduce Mod headaches.)

Let me add that I am thrilled to have Jeffery helping us in Inky Thoughts and on the Mod Squad as a whole. He's the definition of a gentleman and has always been an exemplary member of the board.

And he loves dogs. :)

Pardon yesterday's grumpiness. The weekly headache.

Thanks for the welcomes! There is a limit to how many pens my budget can tolerate, but there is always a budget for "supplies", and the monthly Ink Drop keeps my interest piqued!

Welcome! Love the new picture.
