I haven't seen anyone mention Montgomery Pens yet. I've purchased several newer pens from them on eBay and directly.

I've also had excellent service from Pendemonium. Andy's Pens and MyInkPen on-line.

I've purchased from other dealers in person and also recommend them:

Joel Hamilton and Sherrell Tyree of http://www.ink-pen.com

Michael McNeil of http://www.northwestpenworks.com

John Scwab of http://www.dslnorthwest.net/~jschwab/

I've heard mixed reviews of Montgomery. Apparently the owner is a rude, obnoxious man - not sure if this is true.

My best buying experiences in no particular order have been: Pam Braun for quick shipment, very low prices, good communication; Dennis Bowden of Parkville Pen for quick shipment, low prices, general charm and friendliness; Richard Binder for reliability of pens (all tested before shipment), informative responses to questions, and good prices; Sam of Pendemonium for helpfulness, knowledgeable advice, quick shipment of purchases (mostly ink but an occasional pen or other supplies). I've had good experiences with other internet sellers as well, but these have stood out. I've never bought online from Art Brown in NYC, but I certainly had a blast the first time I went to their brick and mortar store in NYC. I don't know the name of the woman who works there, but she is exceptionally nice.

Pear Tree Pens, www.isellpens.com, www.richardspens.com.

I have had nothing but the best in dealing with Todd Nussbaum at isellpens.com. I have bought a few things, pens and ink, presentation boxes, and hope to buy more in the future. He even answers my email questions graciously.

Fountain Pen Hospital for their specials - good about phoning and prompt shipping [i just bought a Marlen that's in transit], lewertoski whose website I found off eBay for my Carene cravings, pengallery [lovely Aderl during their incredible sale last Christmas AND they managed to work around HellSouth's spam blocker when I had trouble contacting them]. Also had some good experiences with some regular sellers on eBay.

A lot of the sellers mentioned above I haven't bought from simply because they never seem to have B nibs.

I have bought a lot of pens on eBay from Montgomery, including an order that got mixed up with another order, creating a delay while the pens were mailed back on both auctions and sent back out. They dealt with the problem effectively, but their communications with me were indeed always very short. I'm not certain whether or not it's rudeness at play, but I can definitely see how it could come off that way. I will say that I have been satisfied with all 6 or so things I have bought from Montgomery, though.

I just bought an Omas 360 Vision and an Omas Milord for $290 and $240, respectively which, I must say, are incredible prices. I also paid a little extra for some nib customization. The person I purchased from is John Mottishaw at Classic Fountain Pens. His website is http://www.nibs.com.

For the record, I have no affiliation with John and his company. This was the first time I bought from him, in part based on other posts on this forum. He was very friendly and helpful, plus these prices are very, very good so I can highly recommend him.

I have not seen any mention of Airline International. I have ordered some things from them, and they are always extremely friendly. It is best to contact them, however, because there website can be misleading. They may have things that appear to be out of stock and vice versa. Plus, they usually have good prices and maybe even better prices if you contact them. They are also the first place I go to when I am looking for an older pen model. I ordered my Acme Homer Code rollerball and my old style Omas Paragon Arco from them. They carry the new pens, but they may be your best bet for a retired or dated pen. No affiliation but a happy buyer.
