Parker Quink Bottled Black

Here's my review of Parker's Quink Bottled Black ink. It's a pretty basic black ink, not a whole lot that needs to be said about it. It's not the blackest black I've used, but writes well and won't dry out in the pen so no start-up concerns, which is great for the right person. I personally have other blacks that I like more, but can understand why this is might be popular. It's also readily available and not expensive. Dries quite quickly on the page and stands up to highlighters fairly well.

Here's my review.

Here's the water test. For this I wrote on a small Rhodia pad and after letting the ink dry for several minutes ran it under tap water for a few seconds.

I was using this ink at work. I thought my pen had a problem until I tried Borealis Black and all my apparent pen problems went away.

I used this ink for years until I discovered the Noodler's brand. It always behaved very well on lower quality paper. It was not very exciting, and I much preferred the darkness of Noodler's black. But, Parker is a good ink and it has the advantage that it's relatively easy to find in regular stores. It's always one that I recommend to people.
