Just to throw mud in the water. I personally like a crisp italic oblique for a really unique line.

But be warned once you get the hang of a italic nib, it'll seems boring to write with a generic medium nib.

Would love to see what an oblique italic (or oblique cursive italic) translates to on the page. I, myself, like the cursive italic for correspondence, etc. But I have yet to order an oblique and don't think I will be satisfied with a round oblique. Writing sample, please? :hmm1:

I have mostly cursive italics and some stubs. Cursive italic is the best compromise for my writing. I have one crisp italic, and when the angle of my pen moves even slightly, it is like writing on paper with an X-Acto knife.

I have a parker with a flexible italic fine and a vintage parker with a stub nib, both offer different lines variation in their own ways

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time
