Rodney Neep Handmade Wooden Pens

Hi all,

After typing in simply 'Wooden Fountain Pens' to Google, I came across a UK seller 'Pens of the Forest' (based in the Forest of Dean), which is the business of one Rodney Neep. His pens look professional and he seems genuine. His pens come with a piston fill converter, which is great. I am wondering if anybody has any experience with this unique brand of pens? Specifically, what the nibs are like. Does anybody happen to have a picture of a pen you bought from him?

I don't have any firsthand experience with his items, but I know of his work from over at BadgerAndBlade.Com. He makes custom shaving brush handles. I have heard good things about his work.

Okay, thanks. I did read a thread over at B&B, but it was related to shaving items. I think there is a lot of potential difference between somebody who can create a good handle, and somebody who can create a good pen.

In Canada it's a similar story. Pens are made out of nice looking wood and fitted with Schmidt components. The balance is all off and a voice in the back of my head tells me they resemble $5 Chinese pens, even though they retail for $250 CAD.

The pen I write with, is the pen I use to sign my name.
