Which model is this Monty? Contemporary? Vintage? Beautiful.

It is the Heritage 1912 released last year.

I whimpered when I saw the Montegrappa Piccola because I knew that I wouldn't be able to afford it even before I looked at the price.

This is my prettiest/only pretty fountain pen. It is broken, and I have no idea of anything about it, but it sure is shiny! I decided to give it a little photo shoot so it would feel special. (My camera was complaining that there wasn't enough light, so I had to hold a lamp up close while trying to get the picture, I think I ended up holding it with my leg at one point.)

Wow, it is indeed rather nice. What's broken about it? I can't really tell from the pictures. If it's the nib, it's just a generic grip section, and it's possible to find a new one.

The ink never reaches the nib. It probably could be fixed, but I would rather not change anything about it since it was my Granddad's and has sentimental value rather than writing capabilities. (Also, the clip came off and got lost.)

Montblanc 90th nib.

I like the nib better than the body.

I saw this in a corner at a London pen show and I swear I could hear harps playing in the air.

+1. Just bought this pen. Very finnicky, but sigh, so beautiful that I cannot put it down, despite it leaking all over into my favorite leather lined pen case. It's the Italian thoroughbred in my stable of pens.

So, so many beautiful pens in this thread - makes my heart ache!

My vote goes with Reneé's Idyll...

Woo hoo !

Photos pleeease . . . :) I played with one again this year but couldn't stretch to actually buy it. Yet.

Gutted to hear it's leaking. :( Have you found out why?

Yeah, I found out it was a combination of a leaky and poor fitting converter and the nib unit not screwed on well. It was just dumping ink onto the paper and would go through an entire converter worth of ink in a page. THEN, the ink would also pour out of the converter to the inside of the pen, and ink would seep out from every crevice of the pen.

But it's so beautiful, I would doggedly use it until a nice experienced sales person in Asia where I was during the Christmas holidays adjusted everything for me. It works great now.

Graf Von Faber Castell pen of the year 2014 is the most gorgeous (for a highly decorated pen, it is done tastefully)...the price is beautiful too.
