As for me, I am a retired Graphic Designer living in the SF Bay Area. I design jewelry in Metal Clay. I am also an avid cook, gardener, movie buff, and Mom to my late life daughter in college. I love dogs, horses, my friends, and my family. I also love art...all kinds of art! I paint and draw. I arrange flowers. I am a very happy woman.

 

I am taking up calligraphy (Spencerian) to improve my everyday handwriting. When I was young I spend many years doing Chancelery Italic Hand with a dipper pen and India Ink. College and e-mail ruined my penmanship forever. I must make amends, therefore my renewed interest in fountain pens.

I have sent off many letters over the past weeks but there are some pen pals I am not sure if have given up on me or not, if I owe them an answer or the other way around, have letters gone lost in transit or I don't know. So much time has passed and that is on me.

Well I'm new to this section. Didn't expect to find myself swimming in this part of the ocean of FPN. Anyways, I guess I want a pen pal now. I want to write stuff because I wanna write stuff.

 

I'm 16 and a senior in high school now. I'm a guy who is into inks (Greens, purples, reds), FP's, piano, and SCIENCE (Bio, physics, comp. Sci). I'm going for a degree in Macroeconomics and a minor in some other scienctific field that I haven't made my mind on yet.

 

Open to discuss anything from Music to science. I prefer not to talk about polítics or religion as I tend not to like heated debates.

 

I tend to write long and winded letters, and may throw in a big amount of nerdiness. Looking for a pen pal that is in the U.S. perferably, to save money on postage. Pretty sure I can handle up to 3 pen pals.

Hi, I'm Julie, 31 from Florida. I'm new to fp but not writing. I've been writing screenplays and fiction for the last 13+ years. As far as fiction I like/write sci fi, fantasy, action, zombies you know, stuff like that. I'm also a crazy knitter that can do everything from shearing a sheep to a finished article, and recently weaving.

 

I'm also in school for IT, and I'm sure I will eventually be writing programming as I seem to always write about the fields I'm working in.

 

I'm looking for pen friends from anywhere, but would prefer to avoid politics and religion.

 

And I'm slightly obsessed with my R53 Cooper S, and mods and racing (I'm italian, it's in my blood - I'm also fluent in Italian).

 

Anyone that is interested in using noodlers blue ghost gets priority. You don't necessarily have to write to me with blue ghost, but be interested in reading it (black light required).

It's been a while since I posted here and I have been happily corresponding with a number of people from all over the world.

 

This may seem a little odd, immature, and childish, would anyone out there like to correspond using Noodler's Blue Ghost invisible ink? None of my regular correspondents have this ink, nor a black light.

My recent renewed fascination with FPs all happened as a result of finding my old Sheaffer School pen in the attic. I inked it up and WOW…it still worked! Then all hell broke loose. Five pens later, I blame it on The Goulet Pen Company and my $1 school pen.

 

As for me…I am a retired Graphic Designer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. . I also love art...all kinds of art! I design jewelry using Metal Clay. I also paint and arrange flowers from my organic garden. I am a gourmet cook and host one or two dinner parties a week. I love to read good books. I am a TV (Game Of Thrones, Walking Dead, Masterpiece) and Movie-aholic. I love my two rescue dogs, a deaf English Bull Terrier and a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog. I have a fantastic late life daughter in college. We love to travel. I find almost every topic interesting and strive to learn new things as often as I can cram them in. I am a very happy person!

 

Since the dawn of the Internet and e-mail...I only write household lists…my penmanship is a complete fail now. I am determined to learn Spencerian Script and Business Hand. I need practice, LOTS of practice and a pen pal would be so much fun!

I'm a fifteen year old sophomore in Pre-IB(will be in IB next year).

I am seriously interested in sustainable development and plants. I am almost finished with setting up my aquaponics system, and may want to have some bee hives later in life. I like math and science the best of my classes.

I'm a reader, who enjoys anime and video games.

I'd prefer to not talk solely about religion or politics, unless it is current happenings, not debate.

I play violin and piano and like orchestral music along with other types.

I have liked taking French and learning some ASL at ASL club. I also like the technical aspects of Art: developing a photo, mixing colors, ceramics in general.

I seem to have become known (by my teachers) as the person who uses calligraphy.

Preferably, I'd like to write to people around my age, but not necessarily.

I'm Evan. I live in New York, but not in NYC. I am interested in woodworking, pens, reading, classical music, cooking, writing, and can converse at length upon these and many other subjects. Politics: don't have a clue but feel free to write about it. Religion and spirituality are fine.

 

Enjoy clever humour, but am not good at supplying it. Philosophy is fine. Age is no barrier. Things I find yawn-worthy: sport and finance. (Except world class sporting events such as Winter Olympics.) Enjoy reading sci-fi space-opera-style books and fantasy series.

 

Snail mail to anywhere is fine. Main aim is to practice writing and learn about people.

 

Every letter is likely to be written in a new colour blend or three, so I will endeavour to include the specs.

 

(Note: Every 3 months I have a uni/college exam, so I don't write in the 2 weeks either side. The week before is cram week, the week after is for sleep..., um, I mean, catching up on the next subject.)

Need some more pen pals. Want to focus on American sports and history with a focus on the American Civil War. About the finish my masters degree in American history so that is a great passion of mine. In regards to fountain pens I have a VERY limited collection using low end Parkers and modern pens, just can't bring myself to spending the big bucks! I collect and repair vintage fedora hats and collect historical relics focused on the American Civil War. I am a middle school history teacher from WV that would prefer to correspond with males only. 28 years old and married with 3 kids.

-fairly new to FP's..but found myself surprisingly addicted to them! i love the options in every aspect from the ink to the paper. I currently have two handmade custom pens, a Noodlers flex, a cheaper calligraphy pen, and a Jinhao x450 in the mail. I have yet to take the plunge into a high end pen...patiently waiting.

 

I'm a 23 year old student studying criminal Justice and would love pen pals of various ages sex religion ect. Really I just want to see into peoples lives while keeping snail mail alive. I've always wanted a pen pal but have yet to get a letter back. I recently bought a house and it'd be nice to check the mail and find more than just bills waiting for me.
