Hi all!

I am looking for my penpal!

Okay, this is an odd sentence, so let me explain.

A while ago I received a letter and a post card from Chris McGregor from Edinburgh, UK, but he never mentioned his address, so now that I have finally written my reply, I don't know where to send it off to!

So if anyone here knows this lovely man, or he himself is reading this, please send me a PM, since I would hate to lose such a lovely pen friend.

That funny lookin' bloke never writes the return address on my letters, either. I think he's trying to give me a hint, but I just keep lookin' at the PM again.

Actually, if this isn't too OT, I would like to use this space to beg my lovely FPN pen friends to please, PLEASE always write a return address on your envelope. It staggers me that you trust your postal service that much; but that aside, I have dozens of pen friends from a lot of different sources. It's simply not possible to keep everyone's board name, real name, source of contact, and address straight.

A suggestion -

Put your pen-pals in Excel or some other spread sheet/data base and use a label program (Avery?) to print them out. It does not take any effort.

Apparently people dig quite deep into this topic :-D

I've got a couple new penpals in the last few weeks (and I'm already behind on schedule to write to existing ones...), which is nice. But at the moment I'm full on penpals, thanks for having me :-)

What a strange world we live in, where people communicate by text more than ever before, yet the art of proper handwriting is seen as a thing from the past.

I'm a 72 year old retiree. I travel up to six months a year which makes it difficut for me to receive "snail mail." I've had some success with writing letters, scanning them and sending them as attachments to email. I know this might not be as exciting as receiving email but it is a chance for sender and receiver to actually write their letters.

I have a broad range of interests including food, politics, history, Zentangles, foreign and art films, travel, etc.

If this arrangement will work for you, please send me a PM.

Cheers,

RV Bond

If I had done that, I'd be able to keep track of all of the ones that don't write back!

Just a general FYI to pen friends that I am very behind (work is kicking my behind this week) but have not forgotten all of you. I'm so sorry for the delay!

New to this part of FPN.

I'm interested in exchanging letters from time to time.

51 years old, married. Read non-fiction. Play folky/alternative country/Americana music when I can. Write as much as I can.

Would love to exchange some writings for critique.

For what it's worth...to my current pen pals...I love you...lol!

Don't give up on me as I'm way behind and there is no end in sight, so it will be piecemeal for awhile! B) If there is someone wanting in on my delinquency, lol, pm me! When I'm on a roll, it's brilliant!

So, what's your point?

(Mine is a flexible F.)

The last time I'll take up space here, I promise :D

I have sent off many letters over the past weeks but there are some pen pals I am not sure if have given up on me or not, if I owe them an answer or the other way around, have letters gone lost in transit or I don't know. So much time has passed and that is on me.

I just wanted to say, if any of my pen pals haven't heard from me in a while, and want to hear from me again, let me know on a message and I will write ASAP as I am back in the game!

- and I do not want to let any one of you go if I don't have to <3

That's it, take care! :) :) :)

Hi there, I would like to correspond with a couple of pen pals around the world.

About me:

  • 40something female
  • Currently live in Minnesota with my husband, but have lived all over the US and grew up in Germany
  • Hobbies: Reading, Fountain Pens (of course), Video Games, Yoga, Traveling, Photography, Music (I don't play any instrument, but love going to concerts)
  • Topics I'd like to avoid: Politics and Religion
  • I'm trying to practice my cursive writing and thought this would be a great way to do that

Please PM me if you are interested. Would love to see real mail in my mailbox instead of just advertising.

Hello! I'm Nicole and I've just recently gotten back into fountain pens. I would love to receive (and would be happy to send out) some snail mail.

I am a law student, and I travel a fair bit (every school break) between Los Angeles, CA and the Philippines, so I would be happy to send and receive at either, or both locations.

A bit more about me... I am a licensed skydiver, a wind tunnel addict, and a recently reinvigorated crossfitter. And, of course, a law student. Outside of school, I love to read (mostly fiction) and learn new things.

Please do PM me if you would like to correspond. :)

Hi,

I'm Tabs,

I'm from England, have used fountain pens since my dad got me into them when I was a kid, with the first being one from WH Smith that I loved.

Since then I have just been adding to my collection. I have recently got a Pelikan pen which doesn't take ink cartridges... which is something I am getting used to.

PM me if you would like to become my pen pal.

Hi there,

I'm Maggie, I'm a New Mexico native living in Northern California and working in architecture. I got my first fountain pen almost a year ago to improve my handwriting and have been steadily adding to my collection and enjoying the writing experience ever since.

My hobbies include drawing/sketching, reading (mostly fiction), sewing, design and architecture, photography, and music. Looking for a couple of pen pals to exchange thoughts and ideas through snail mail.

PM me if you would like to exchange letters as pen pals!

Greetings and Salutations! I would love to be part of the "snail mail"group - I like to think of myself as multi-faceted - like a fine diamond LOL...seriously though, I have many varying interests and love to learn about different cultures and places...

Some of the many interests include :

Photography, Art, Theatre, Music (all genres), Dance, Literature, Jewellery, and History, Equestrianship, Hunting, Movies/Television shows such as Star Trek -Original Series, Seinfeld and Friends....(don't laugh!!!) laugh.gif Anyways, I could go on all day about stuff I like to talk about...... blink.gif

Although I can be serious at times, I do have a fun and playful side and I love to be silly and dive into the pool of goofiness :bunny1:

Feel free to pm me if you would like to share letters biggrin.gif

Sincerely,

Royally Inked
