Hello - Am interested in starting up some letter writing, though I must warn folks ahead of time, because of my state of being a full time graduate student and psychotherapist, my letter sending will be sporadic at best.

 

A little about me, I live in Northern CA, grew up here, but have traveled around a bit (Canada, Alaska, Europe, Caribbean). Nature is my temple, and my life is a rollercoaster of a spiritual journey. My interests are nature and activities therein (skiing, mt. biking, scuba diving, hiking, backpacking), psychology (especially ecopsychology), philosophy, Buddhism, Shamanism, traveling, new experiences and adventure, creative writing, mythology, fantasy, music, favorite writers are Hermann Hesse, Tolkien, and Jung.

 

Going to be honest here - when it comes to both conversing verbally and writing, I'm not really into small talk. I would love to write either in the realm of creative writing, or engage in 'deeper' discussions concerning the above topics.

 

It would be great to exchange letters to someone in another country/culture.

 

Oh, and one more thing. My writing can be pretty sloppy, so if it's some pretty script you're lookin' for this ain't the guy.

My penmanship is only good on even numbered days so please take this into consideration should you write.

 

I am into art, photography, music, films, and literature but mostly off the beaten path type of things - and (usually) never top-40 anything. Metaphysical things are also drawn to me and at some point I will write a book about such things as I've witnessed quite a bit of rather odd things. I used to do energy healing but stopped a few years ago. On occasion I will do a 'reading' for people but that is rare.

 

The only thing I will admit to doing well is cooking which I only do once a year (the cooking, not the admitting.) I grew up in New Orleans which is solely to blame for my bad sense of humor.

I'm a student studying in Germany, and am an avid "amateur adventurer", having a lot more interests in travelling than studies.

I usually go for these "adventures" during my university breaks, and it's during that time where I'd write about my travels.

Hi, I'm Andrea, 52 and married, living with my husband and our dog and cat in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, US. I'm very much socially liberal and am overwhelmingly happy that I live in a time when Michael Sam can be drafted into the NFL.

 

At home, I like quilting, jewelry making, computers, watching baseball (NY Yankees) and football (NE Pats), reading (mostly mysteries/suspense), gardening, cooking, DIY projects (have done everything from laying hardwood floors to building cabinets to laying a brick patio and have one bathroom that I actually painted four different colors in one weekend).

 

At work, I'm a scientist who manages my department and do very little actual "sciency stuff" as a friend's grandson calls it.

I'm 28 years old, married (for 7 years now wow!), and father to 3 awesome children (7, 6, and 6 weeks). My family and I live in the beautiful state of Tennessee, half an hour outside of Nashville. My wife, my Mother, and myself went into business together almost 3 years ago now. We own what's best known as a "thrift store" I guess, but we're more of a second hand furniture store than anything. Ever seen an episode of the TV show Storage Wars? That's more or less what I've got going on day in and day out, only it's not nearly as glamorous or easy as they make it seem. Between work and the kids I don't have a lot of time for much else, besides pens. I prefer vintage myself. It would be very nice to have an adult to "talk" to haha.

I'm willing to give this a go. I am 66, married, retired, great-grandmother (how the heck did that happen?) living in Arizona. I like quilting and needlework (mostly do reproduction samplers), and reading. My husband and I do cowboy reenacting (he dresses, I watch and photograph). We also like to go 4-wheeling to find abandoned homes, forts, stagestops, etc around the state). I would love some international pen pal, any age is fine. We are currently remodeling our whole house so we can have central air conditioning (after living in our house for 20 years) so life is very dusty and noisy right now. Hi, I'm a little apprehensive about this, but I am an avid FP fan (both modern and vintage) and I would love to have the excuse to write more, I'm just not sure what to write to a pen pal about!

 

I'm 39, living in Switzerland and working in IT / finance. At home I'm married with two small girls (2.5y and 10m) and my spare time at the moment is pretty much taken up with Masters studies. I'm currently writing lots about technology strategy and worrying about a research / dissertation topic that I need to find before the end of the year. When I'm not studying I tend to be reading, smoking cigars, watching football (or soccer as some would call it), F1 or cycling - and if I ever get time - riding my mountain / road bikes.
