Hi,

 

I live in southern Maine in the US. I am a musician and my wife is a retired art teacher and artist. We live in a rural part of Maine...well, most of Maine is rural. I enjoy bird watching, the ocean, nature, and the local wildlife such as bears in the spring and the occasional moose.

 

I read a lot of fiction and am also very interested in 19th century American history. I collect about everything and enjoy going to flea markets. Music is the way I make a living but it is also my passion and I spend a large part of my day rehearsing and trying new things. Before I was able to play music full time, I taught special ed on a Native American reservation way up in the northen woods of Maine.

 

I love meeting new people. I feel I learn something from everyone and I like hearing about people's lives. I am really interested in about everything. For my own amusement, I am writing of my experiences growing up in in the west.

 

I would love to hear from anyone...any age or gender and use my fountain pen collection for letter writing. I promise I'll try to be entertaining. I hope I hear from you.

Hi I'm looking for my first snail mail pal as i never had one when I was younger! I'm into alot of things such as music (been a bassist for 14 yars),photography, and anything old that has history.

Just thought I'd mention that my mother has been ooohing and ahhing over the delightfull letters I've been recieving in the post (she's currently staying with us) and although she dosent share my enthusiasm for fountain pens( but has agreed to use experiment with one and "borrow" from my ink collection), and would like to start pen-palling again.

 

Here's a little bit about her if anyone is interested in becoming her pen pall:

 

Her name is Shona, 58 and is interested in scottish history, standing stones and Celtic symbolism, Geneology, jewelery making and gemstones.

She goes hillwalking once or twice a year on her bi-anual pilgrimage to visit her cousin in scoon and loves animals particularly our rescued dog tess.

I thought I'd put myself on the writing list, as I do not currently know of anyone who enjoys writing letters.

 

Please check out my profile for common areas of interest. I must admit that while my interests vary, I am not an expert in any one of them.

 

If I were to place my expectations at the highest level, then I would enjoy receiving a beautiful letter written with a beautiful hand that was both delightful and cerebral. However, I, myself, could never produce such a letter and don't expect there are many who could.... but a girl can dream! :-)

I know this should really go on the postcard list but I never normally buy postcards and I don't really plan on doing this regularly, but I had a credit note at a shop and needed to make up my purchases to the total, the only thing that came to hand were postcards.
