Count me in!

I'm an 18 year old from Sacramento, California who loves writing the old fashioned way! Hobbies consist of loving my betta fish to death, reading, hoarding stationary, and a couple of other things! I typically go for my Lamy Safaris when I write!

Folks,

Just a couple of reminders:

(1) Don't post addresses here - let people request and then send by PM or email.

(2) If you want to log receipts and replies, use the pinned Post Office thread, keeping this topic clear just to track willing participants.

I'd love to get involved in this! I've got two Parkers: A 61 and a 45, as well as a few Cross pens thrown in the mix. I'm from Texas and would really enjoy getting a letter or two that isn't junkmail.

Best Regards,

Jake

Hello Everyone,

I am interested in joining the list. I joined the cult of the fountain pen about 5 years ago and have not looked back. Luckily I have avoided FPAD and therefore the number in my collection is low. I work in the health care profession and some of my hobbies include cycling, baking, reading, and martial arts.

Took a bit of a hiatus from this forum, but I recently took out my pen collection and played with it again. My interest is peaked again and would love to exchange letters with anyone interested. I have way too many stationery papers just sitting here :) I'm in NYC.

i would enjoy participating too.

im a female human in her twenties, who thinks the victorian art of letter writting should not be a lost one.

ive loved fountain pens for some unexplicable reason since i was little and only recently decided to take up this hobby fully,i have a strange desire to find the real essence of something rather than what is apperent from the surface, and have been known to go off on tangents a little like steven fry in his qi presenting role on whatever subject i find interesting.

currently studying forensic science, and mortuary science at university and hope to move on to philosophy and something medical if i get the chance.

addmitadly a little odd (a glace at my profile should tell you that) and with a growing list of hobbies (handmade bobbin lace, bookbinding, digital art, silversmithing, contortion, chinese pole, ect ect ect ect)

You can only truly know that which you question. If you question nothing, you know nothing

Lets see, I'm 21 joined the military at 18, went to basic on my fathers birthday (Sept), I just started collecting FP, and I already have three Pelikan Tortoise coming in the mail with a few other odds and ends. Thinking of, I still need inks...

This will be the second year that I spend my birthday out in a sandbox, last time was my 20th in Iraq, this time is my 22 in Afghanistan.

I've a hecticly inactive schedual where I can be busy one day, and do nothing the next. So I'm sure I'll be able to write people.

I'm sure that I should just re-post what I put in "Who are you" thing in the chatter area, but that would be cheating... and I've sorta changed (I change every day... several times).

Right now I fell in love with my Angel... but I'm sorta scared cause it happened so quickly. But I'm just going to do what I do best, go with the flow and do whatever I feel like.

I'm half-korean, and Kim Jong Ill is my homeboy... j/k But I do speak korean, just don't ask me to read or write it. I went to the linguist school for the military and failed out of that because my spelling was so bad... as it is in english, gotta love spell check. But I enjoy Korean dramas, and I guess I could read it, I'd just have to say the stuff out loud... also note, I used to play the violin, I quit because I couldn't read sheet music... hmm ohh well. I was going to try picking it back up, but then I deployed... I was going to start a book, but then I deployed... but I deployed but I deploy but I deployed... lol, for some odd reason I got that song in my head.

*sigh* just lost my groove, so I'll just post what I have right now.

Cuts can heal over, become scars and you'll keep living. Take it one step at a time, soon you'll wish you could take it slower.

While I have quite a few penpals right now, I'm always up for more.

What I would really like is a penpal from Japan,China or Korea.

These cultures really interest me and so if anyone from those countries would like to snail mail with a classical music lover as well as all around interesting guy, please PM me.

Hi, I have found some penpals but have the time to write to more So I thought I'd repost :D

Hello, I’d love to do some snail mail writing! Haven’t done any since I was a kid and a few friends moved overseas before email was big.

So about me. The first thing I will say is that I have a highly active imagination, I love to make up stories but I never finish writing them but love to play out different events and so on. I am a very arty crafty person, dabble in everything, master nothing. Some of the things I am interested in include; photography, pastel painting, calligraphy, illumination, embroidery (not cross stitch), beadwork and pencil drawing. My main arty-crafty interest is making historical clothing by hand (as in really by hand, without a sewing machine) and I am mainly interested in the mid 15th century to the late 19th century.

History is another big thing for me, I LOVE history, mostly the little details, ie. Every day people, their material culture etc.

I also LOVE to read. I read sci-fi, fantasy, some romance, classical literature, children’s books, adventure, history books, anthropology books, art books- all sorts really!

I love to talk about stuff, time travel, deep philosophical conversations, how to make a particular stitch or just rabbit on about nothing much.

So, if you’re interested in snail-mailing then let me know!

Hi,

I live in southern Maine in the US. I am a musician and my wife is a retired art teacher and artist. We live in a rural part of Maine...well, most of Maine is rural. I enjoy bird watching, the ocean, nature, and the local wildlife such as bears in the spring and the occasional moose.

I read a lot of fiction and am also very interested in 19th century American history. I collect about everything and enjoy going to flea markets. Music is the way I make a living but it is also my passion and I spend a large part of my day rehearsing and trying new things. Before I was able to play music full time, I taught special ed on a Native American reservation way up in the northen woods of Maine.

I love meeting new people. I feel I learn something from everyone and I like hearing about people's lives. I am really interested in about everything. For my own amusement, I am writing of my experiences growing up in in the west.

I would love to hear from anyone...any age or gender and use my fountain pen collection for letter writing. I promise I'll try to be entertaining. I hope I hear from you.

Gene
