Snail Mail Writing List

Hi! I've been looking for something like this!

My name is Nicolas, username is above. I'm 25 and a Computer Science major in Brazil.

I'm a nerd; I enjoy gaming in most of its forms (board, video, role-playing, ...) and like to read a lot, prefering fantasy literature but branching out every now and then (like the one time I read about cavemen and what their art meant for the evolution of humankind). My main hobby is Role-Playing Games, such as Dungeons & Dragons - it's how I made most of my longer-lasting friendships.

I also enjoy music, being quite ecclectic but prefering rock/metal and their friends, and LOVE to watch movies of "lesser quality" because they are usually very fun to make fun of!

I also enjoy learning languages, but I'm slow at that; currently I only speak/write Portuguese, English and beginner to intermediate French, though I can make do with Spanish if needed.

That said, I'd be very much interested in expanding my knowledge of the world and conversation topics. I believe there is no better way to spend time than acquiring knowledge, as it is wealth that cannot be stripped away. Moreover I plan on moving abroad sometime soon, so different views of the world would be much appreciated!

However people do to get in touch for penpalship, do so if interested!

Hello,

I have only just recently gotten into fountain pens after my mom got me a Montegrappa for my birthday, so I am not the most well versed, but I have been wanting a pen pal for awhile and would like to improve my handwriting.

I am 22, a writer and artist daylighting as a semi manager of the dairy department of a grocery store. My interests cast a wide and varied net, but are (among many other things) well written books or short stories, ancient and/or world history, art and art history, baseball, music, and professional wrestling. I would love to get to know what other people are up to and interested in and get to handwrite to someone. For fair warning my handwriting is not at all great, but I will do my best.

Shoot me a message if you would like to write!

-G

Hi, everyone!

I'm pretty new to fountain pens in general (like, within the last few months kind of new), but I absolutely love them already and I'd love to set up a pen pal to be able to use them more often. It's also just nice to find a letter in the mailbox, I think, especially since most of my mail right now is bills or ads from the previous homeowner!

I'm 26, and I live in the Midwest with my husband and two cats (I'm always down for pet pictures and stories, though - I like all kinds of pets). My number one thing is that I love stories and jokes! I'm not particularly good at writing them, but I love reading them or hearing them from friends. My interests lean towards reading almost anything, gaming with my husband, watching movies, and listening to podcasts. I'm really into knowing what people think of things - I tend to watch/listen to a lot of critics on movies or game playthroughs to see what people thought about the film/show/game.

My husband jokes that I'm always trying or into something new whenever he turns around, so I'm open to most anything. Let me know if you'd be interested in writing!

Several of my long time "corresponders" have fallen away over time. One or two more would be nice. Usually write at least once a month. Always respond nearly promptly. Nearly always include a photograph or more.

Please read my profile "about me" for more info about me.

(click on the picture (avatar) on the left).

PM if you would like to send an intro letter or want me to do that, or find out or share more info.

Aloha

I've gotten some "newer" vintage pens that I'm itching to use.

So, I'm bumping my prior post.

If anyone is interested in corresponding, send me a PM and we'll go from there.

Please read my profile "About Me" (click on picture on the left) and so forth to get an idea of myself.

I'm a 26 years old woman from Northern-East Italy.

I come from a rural, big family and I live in the countryside.

I've recently graduated from a Master's degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures. I'm what people call a nerd, I love superhero movies and television shows, science-fiction, fantasy, Westerns, music from dubstep to gothic choir, too many authors to count, ink comparisons, typography, sight-seeing, architecture, and, truly, I have many interests. I'm sure we'll find something to write about.

If you don't feel disparaged by the age gap, consider writing to me!

This is the bio I wrote on March 2018. There're three major differences, I'm 27 now and I moved to New Zealand for my PhD. If you want to correspond, please send me a private message. Finances are a bit tight for me now but I think I can afford a few more pen friends.

Have a great day! : )

While I probably have enough fountain pen pals, I got an idea that I thought would be neat. Having a pen pal from each of the 10 zip codes (as in starting #) in the US.

I have pen pals with zip codes that start with 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9. So I would need pen pals living in states with zip codes starting with 0, 4 and 5, and possibly 3 as the pen pal from that starting number seems mostly to write during InCoWriMo.

I never tire of hearing about pens, inks and paper. I’m a bit of a Space geek, like to travel some, but that isn’t in my immediate plans, so I’d be interested in hearing about others’ travels. I’m reading more lately, and watching all things about Apollo 11 right now. Sports is a fine topic, but I only really root for “local” teams. Photography is an interest. It is nice to learn about other people’s hobbies.

One thing I’ve learned from writing letters is some pen pals last a long time, and some transition to friends. I’ve lost a few probably because I was not timely in responding back. I had to stop writing to one who got too personal. I do not want to exchange photos. Once an exchange starts, who knows where it will go, and that is the fun and adventure of pen pal letters.

I have Noodler’s Blue Ghost ink, so people owning that ink or black lights would have fun with that. Also, it’s fun to write a sentence in code. One is simple, called Pig Pen. I also belong to the Letter Writers Alliance, and they have a download (for members) of a code wheel. I’ve printed those out and shared with my pen pals. I have not used the Letter Writer Alliance to be paired with a pen pal. There are great ones right here on FPN.

4 has been filled, one is a mystery, so I will say zip codes starting with 0 and 5 are still wanted.

Some of my correspondence has dried out - as always for unknown reason. Looking for a few new pals.

If you like long and short letters, can stand a rant from time to time and a wide range of topics, a sometimes bright and sometimes not so bright mind, some humbling English (or perfect German) and don't mind a 44 yo (gasp!) drop me a line. Based in Germany.

Hello,

I'm continuing my search for more penpals locally or internationally. I'm a student located in NYC and I love stationery. I've been in the hobby for over a decade now and it's odd to think it's been quite that long. I like pets (cats especially), writing, reading YA/fantasy, drawing (traditionally mostly), games, and libraries. I'm open to discuss a variety of topics except for politics and religion.

Some places I've been to are China, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. I want to visit the UK someday since a lot of children's books I read are set there. I like Pelikan and Pilot out of all the FP companies and Sailor inks when I can find them at affordable prices. I'm partial vintage German/English FPs and I've been organizing my small collection nowadays. I look forward to hearing from you.

Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow

In my quest for pen pals across US zip codes, I now need someone from a zip code which starts with 5, possibly 3.

Now I need to start answering some letters. Ha!

I guess it never hurts to "meet" new people :)

Belgian girl, mid-thirties. I am nerdy. I love webdesign, boardgames, singing, improv, theatre, comedy/stand up, reading. I also love dogs and hope to have one again one day. My interests are pretty varied: IT, art, history and folklore, royal families. A small part of me is interested/fascinated by paranormal stories, a bigger part of me likes scary stories and whodunnits. I also try to write fiction, but so far failing spectacularly. And I consider myself a bit of an Anglophile.

I don´t know exactly the protocol of how this works, but feel free to contact me privately. International penpals are welcome :)

Hello!

My name is John (she/her or they/them pronouns); I'm 25 years old, live in Massachusetts, and love exchanging letters with people, either domestically or internationally. :)

I work in silly office jobs during the day, but am a musician and composer during my "off-hours." I love most kinds of music, but especially progressive rock, doom metal, and lately dungeon-synth. In addition to fountain pens and music, I also enjoy tabletop role-playing games, loose tea and gongfu, as well as baking, discussing LGBT topics, and I've recently started getting into horror movies and other assorted cinema.

I'd love to find someone to regularly exchange mail with. Feel free to shoot me a message if you'd like to do so with me! :D

Hi!

I'm looking for pen pals too.

My name is Mattias. I'm 44 years old, live in Sweden with my wife and two daughters. I'm an artist (drawings mostly... often with fountain pens) and webdeveloper. At the moment a lot of my day is spent in front computer screens, so I need some snail mail communication!

Some interests (though I find many things and people interesting): history, art, litterature, design, programming, nature.

Send me a PM if you wan't to be pen pals!

I've had some pals fall off recently, and would enjoy one or two more. If anyone is looking for someone to write, give my bio a glance and message me for my address :)

Hello, I am a recently retired professor who taught advertising photography and graphic design. I am married to a woman who was originally from Russia and just spent three months in Moscow. My Russian language skills are just good enough to make myself understood but not enough to understand a conversation as it goes too fast for me.

I have a 23-year-old daughter who is in college and my family has two pets; a cat and a dog. For fun I collect and use fountain ink pens, roast my own coffee beans and ride a Vespa motor scooter. I'd prefer to exchange about two letters per month on a variety of topics.
