I'm still using Noodler's Kung Te Cheng in a Dollar pen and having no problems at all. No hard starts, no messes.

And I'm trying Barossa Grape in a wetter pen, a Levenger Galaxy Aurora.

And two days later, the Barossa Grape goes back into the sample vial. Legible in the wetter pen, but just too dry for me.

Today I have Kyo-Iro Soft Snow of Ohara in a Duofold Junior. A wet ink in a wet pen. I'll need to be careful about paper.

Robert Oster Purple Soul, in a Parker Vector (F nib).

Noodler's Heart of Darkness in a Noodler's Charlie (flex nib).

KWZI IG Light Antique Gold, in another Vector (also with an F nib).

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

Tonight at work, my first day back after completing the one month one pen challenge, I will be using Petrol and Kana-cho Midnight, both in Waterman JIFs. Yippee!

I cleaned out the De Atramentis Mint Turquoise ink sample from my Safari because the color didn't do it for me and replaced it with a sample of Noodler's Lexington Gray. Other pens have Private Reserve DC Supershow Blue, Noodler's Liberty's Elysium and various blue-black inks.

I have several bottles of Thornton Blue, from a joint buy with friends. Though it writes a bit dry in several of my vintage "vague brands", It gets an A+ in my Parker 45, my edc pen. One of the friends is an Iroshiuzku and Edelstein devotee, and wants to sell me his two and a half bottles.

Guess I'll be using Thornton Blue for awhile.

I'm using my Retro 51 Prism filled with J Herbin Vert Reseda. The ink is nearly gone, so I might flush it, dry, and fill it with the MB Oyster Grey sample I haven't used yet. A review of the pen on the Anderson Pens blog had the Oyster Grey as one of the writer's favorites for the Prism. I was going to use the MB sample until I ordered 2 J Herbin inks from www.atlasstationers.com which sells J Herbin for $8.80. I shopped at the Atlas Stationers store last October when I was visiting my brother in Chicago.

I was at the Midwest Tea Festival yesterday and found out one tea store was in Crown Center Shops (KCMO) across from The Pen Place. Now I have more incentive to drive there and visit the pen store since the tea store is there. The Pen Place sells MB inks among others. I liked the sample inks I've used (Corn Poppy Red and Irish Green). Sorry for the long post.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Krishna Peacock, Brown-Pink, and The Earth are new favorites of mine. I only wish that they sold the ink in larger bottles!!

At least the bottles are darn cute and sealed air tight - which is important since they don't have biocide.

Tonight at work, Kana-cho Midnight in two pens, a Waterman JIF F and an M300 EF. I thought it would be fun to compare them side by side. The JIF's line is finer, almost an EF, and somewhat dry, while the Pelikan's line is thicker and wetter, the nib is smoother, too. Who knew blue-black could be so interesting!
