Today I wrote with a mix of Platinum Pigment Rose Red + Pigment Blue, R&K Sepia, KWZ IG Turquoise, Iroshizuku Tsutsuji, and Diamine Jade Green.

I've been on a quest to see if I could commit all Seven Deadly Sins in a single day. Finally, it dawned on me I shouldn't try for the One Day Wonder Prize for all seven in one day. It's simply out of any question as you can't commit decent sloth while busily ticking the other six off your crowded "to do" list. -- ViolinWriter

I'm trying out the Cross Violet vis recently reviewed.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

I am still using Visconti Blue. I am having a tough time changing to a different color but I got Bung Box Ink of Naotora in the mail today & have rinsed out a new pen for it.

I have Cross Violet again today, yesterday was in a JIF fine, today in a Sport fine, so a smidge wider line.

New Pelikan 4001 Dark Green. It's amazing: gorgeous rich colour, great shading, excellent behaviour, dries fast... Can't recommend it highly enough.

Practice, patience, perseverance

I just inked up some pens to take to work tomorrow. Parker Penman Mocha in a ladies Sheaffer, Noodler's Nightshade in a TWISBI Eco, Diamine Marine in a Lalex and a Sailor green in a Montblanc 22.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Now that it's spring, I have Rohrer and Klingner Solferino in a Waterman Gentleman pen.

I love Solferino! I tried KWZ IG Green no. 4 in my lime green Prera today on bad paper. It did not turn out well. I have yet to find a pen I like this ink in.

Namiki Blue in my blue Waterman Phileas with an EF nib today. One of my favorite inks in one of my favorite pens.

First trial of Iroshizuku tsuki-yo (in a Pilot Capless) - arrived from Japan yesterday, and looks promising.

+1

dark green is so much better than the old brilliant green. I'll never need to look for another true green ink*, because it doesn't get any better than that. It's well-behaved and very readable and easy on the eyes, while still being very much green.

*(yellow- and blue-green inks, on the other hand...)

-

Okay, let's see...

-Diamine Oxblood: Lots and lots of it.

-Pelikan 4001:

... royal blue: unavoidably

... blue black: I love that ink so much - if only more pens could handle it well...

... dark green: of course

... purple: just a smidge, then the pen ran out. Fantastic ink, though.

-Parker Quink black: one of those inks that just... kind of exists and quietly does its job. Annoying in large quantities, but in moderation it's actually pretty neat

-Standardgraph cornflower blue: it's such a funky color. Quite a bit of shading; it's a very light, summery turquoise in the lightest parts, and a pretty medium blue in the darker ones.

-J. Herbin Terre de Feu: I have a few problems with J.H. - my pens always burp with those inks when they get close to running empty. I once found out the hard way that Terre de Feu looks a lot like dried blood on tan fabrics. On the other hand, it is such a nice color...
