Today I am using Jinhao 889 (review) which is fitted with #5 Medium Nib and it is filled with KWZ IG #3 ink.

Nice ink, isn't it? I picked it because the lower numbered IG greens had a bit too much blue tone to them... and I was very pleased about the color, even after it oxidizes.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Ku-jaku and South Seas Blue today.

I've been on a quest to see if I could commit all Seven Deadly Sins in a single day. Finally, it dawned on me I shouldn't try for the One Day Wonder Prize for all seven in one day. It's simply out of any question as you can't commit decent sloth while busily ticking the other six off your crowded "to do" list. -- ViolinWriter

After trying out several browns, I eventually settled on Maruzen Athena Sepia for my newly acquired stipula vallecchi (orient express) pen - the saturated and not too wet brown ink produces a fine rich line from wet medium nib, very smooth and a joy to write.

A favourite combination to take into 2017.

Noodler's King Philip Requiem 2015 LE and Noodler's Monkey Hanger.

How do you like them. I mean they are both so faint, light, undersaturated and boring. (Ha Ha)

In my review of KPR I said it was the prettiest ink I've ever seen. Too bad it's gone for good. MH is perfectly fine. I don't understand what all the complaints were about. It's no less dark than many other inks; you simply cannot base how it will look based on a swab. I've never been bothered by Noodler's "chalky" colors. I find them very pleasant to look at, easy on the eyes. The MH is totally waterproof. KPR is very water resistant. Both dry very quickly. They don't shade or sheen, but I've never really cared about those qualities. Shading is nice to have, but not a required for me to like an ink. Both of these reviews are coming tomorrow. I have to take pictures. Though maybe I've posted KPR already. Suffragist Carmine coming too. Once I clean the pens out I'll work on Northstar Liberator and Proctor's Ledge.

I'm really happy with all the samples. Thanks.

Well, I love your reviews. I think KPR has finally beat out Comanche Rouge as my favorite.
