I used a sample of Private Reserve' blue/black Ebony Blue. Love it so much went to my local brick&mortar that I bought a bottle of it. Prefect for work and home.

Tonight I'll be testing Waterman Harmonious Green, which arrived this afternoon. Initial impression: lighter than I was expecting; may need wetter pen.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

What inks am I using today? As an artist steeped in the dictum of permanence, I'm a Noodler's user, (with an occasional straying into iron galls.) Today's inks, though not all equally lightfast/waterproof, all are to varying degrees. I prefer well-saturated inks. Any with shading a plus (all good shaders here, except La Reine.) Noodlers Red Black, Navy, Walnut, Lexington Grey and La Reine fit the bill. The first two for writing, the last 3 for sketches and writing.
