The pens I take to School are filled with:

Pilot Custom 823 with Iroshizuku Tsuki-yo

Pilot Custom Heritage 912 FA with Iroshizuki Yama-budo

Franklin Christoph 66 with Diamine Teal

Parson's Essential with Diamine Red Dragon

At home:

Sheaffer Balance with Diamine Denim

Diamond Medal ringtop with Herbin Eclat de Saphir

John Holland ringtop with Lamy Black (this pen is awaiting nib adjustment as soon as my loupe arrives)

Swan 3260 with L'Artisan Pastelier Ocre Jaune

Swan 0160 with Noodler's Apache Sunset

Swan SF2 with Herbin Lierre Sauvage

Swan SF230 and an Aurora 88P with Noodler's Black Swan in Australian Roses

Waterman 52 with Diamine Asa blue

Parker Duofold with Herbin Lie de The

ASA Nauka with Oster Emerald (I think)

Ranga thingy with Oster Deep Sea (again, I think)

So, I have too many pens, I have too many pens inked, and I really need to keep a record of what's in what rather than trying to guess. :)

Wise. I keep an ink log, it's very useful at times.

Practice, patience, perseverance

I gave up on ink logs this year since I'm trying to use so much ink. I've progressed on to little notes attached to my pens with the ink number. It's not very pretty, but this year, it's tough to do a an ink a day. (But I have the ink log too since I'm tracking the list of inks).

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

My opinion of course... Miruai is FANTASTIC!!!!... Shigure is Ok!!.. You did GOOD!!!

For purples inks.. I don't find Shigure special enough.... Is nice, just not special enough. Miruai is quite special for a green ink...

My opinion of course... ;)

I had been hoping that Shigure would be a better-behaved substitute for Noodler's Kung Te Cheng. But it isn't. At least not my bottle of KTC -- which isn't really purple so much as a dark indigo with purple undertones until it gets diluted.... And as for dark somewhat dusky purples I MUCH prefer KWZI Grey Plum. I really hope that I can get a full bottle of it at some point -- when I ordered the sample from Vanness, they were OOS for the bottles..... :crybaby:

ETA: for me today it's Edelstein Tanzanite, in my vintage Pelikan 400, OB nib. Unfortunately, the pen didn't take well to air travel (I thought it was completely filled but apparently not...). As a result, I had ink burping into the cap. And now I have Tanzanite on my hand (which didn't completely come off when I washed my hair). And worse yet, there's Tanzanite on the barrel below where the cap threads are (which is WHY it's one my hand), and I'm not sure of the best way to clean it off without damaging the binde -- or making a total mess of my inlaws' bathroom sink.... :o

Today (well, it's after midnight PDT, so I guess technically yesterday) it was KWZI Grey Plum (man, do I need to get a full bottle of this) in the M200 Café Crème) and Edelstein Aquamarine (an ink I probably would not have gotten except that it was swag from this year's Pittsburgh Pelikan Hub) in my Dark Lilac Lamy Safari.
