Which Inks Are You Using Today?

So far today, I've used PR Copper Burst, Kobe #25, and Sailor Jentle Irori. By the end of the day, I'll probably have added the J. Herbin 1670--Carob of Cypress and a couple of others to the list, since I'm filling out post cards, today :-).

I usually have no more than three or four pens inked up at any one time, but I've been playing over the holiday. So...

MB royal blue; Pelikan Edelstein aquamarine, Diamine turqouise; Diamine burnt sienna; Pelikan 4001 royal blue; Super 5 Delhi (orange); MB Lavender; J. Herbin éclat de saphir; MB midnight blue; Diamine red dragon; Rohrer & Klingner Document brown; Proclama blue.

A note on Diamine burnt sienna: it's not too far off MB's Leonardo (which the box also calls "red chalk). Actually, I prefer the Diamine, because I find the MB Leonardo to be quite feathery (if memory serves, I got two bottles, and ended up giving one of them away).

In the last three days...

Robert Oster Dark Chocolate

Montblanc Ultra Black

Diamine Iris

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Well, I goofed with this picture, the ink in this pen in Ink of Love, the ink in the Sheaffer is Grenade and I wrote this with Grenade, but hey, they look good together.

I apologize for the penmanship. My right-arm tremor is wreaking havoc.

I love the smell of fountain pen ink in the morning.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

The pen in rotation is Waterman Kultur ( fine nib) and it is inked with Diamine Majestic Blue. The pen is absolute wet writer and the ink has a beautiful stunning golden sheen. I love this ink.

The ink is just plain gorgeous, love the flow, the lubrication, the colour and top of that all, the massive sheen.

Very handsome! Have you compared it either to Private Reserve Naples Blue or Sailor Souten? I wonder if the quality of the sheen is comparable (but I know that with Napes and Souten the sheen is red).
