I haven't seen anything on FPN about TEKKER INK, but I happened to see something about it on Facebook. So I went to the website [http://tekkerink.com], and since the prices were reasonable, I ordered three bottles.

I love what Alex and Preston are doing. Their great idea is that you can custom order any shade of ink you want by hex color number!

I've been looking for a good match to the official "branding" color of my Alma Mater, University of Illinois, and so I ordered the exact shade of blue that they list on the website as the official UIUC Blue (#002058):

Next, the official IUPUI crimson (#7d110c) for the official color of the university where I teach:

And finally, a fun color that I can't seem to get enough of. It's a variation on the brown of the pottery of ancient Andean civilizations (including Incan), #d06806. I call it "Chasqui" which is a word in the quechua language for the messengers who ran along Incan roads to deliver information (in the form of quipus). At any rate, here it is:

Two of the colors are just right, but the IUPUI crimson is simply too brown. It may be a difficult shade to reproduce as an ink, but I may play with it. We'll see...

Diamine Indio . . . after a massive helping of humble pie.

This ink is lovely and light, friendly to the eye and a joy to use.

I've introduced it to my TWSBI 540 and they're getting along really well. I think they'll be looking at a summer wedding. :)

But they are dang cool.

BTW, they seem to do well in the Plumix, I think because the Plumix is sort of dry.

Tas, in case it's not been mentioned recently, you're one of those evil, evil enablers... but, I might end up thanking you once I've inked up with this new ink (which managed to sneak its way into my collection yesterday before I was able to do anything about it).

Never been called that before and I've a big grin on my face now that I have.

Payback time for the dozens and dozens of bottles of ink I've bought in the past due to other enablers here.

I'm not a massive Diamine fan but when they get it right they really do. This one is so light and lovely but usable in away I found Fuyu Syogun and Griz Nuage weren't.

Can't wait to hear and see your results :)

Tas, do you happen to have a comparison to de Atramentis Indigo?

Sadly no, sorry.

From memory, it's more saturated.

Ooo, visvamitra has played with it. I've always found his reviews are spot on for colour.
