Which Inks Are You Using Today?

Delighted with the new Francesco Rubinato inks that came today:

And then, just for perspective, here's the layout of hills and dales of the collection. I may have to head to Schaumburg, Illinois and the nearest IKEA for storage ideas...

Wow. Do I see some kind of hierarchy in the layout perhaps . . . ?

Today, I have been using nearly all of my inks in a test on watercolour paper and all washed over with Gris Nuage.

Tas, that sheet is beautiful.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Thanks Amber.

Smooth paper for sketching is sooo last season . . .

(Totally smitten with the PPS mix and Gris Nuage combo. Look how stunning the split is ! - can't wait to try your 1:4 mix when my two bottles arrive.)

That's some major eye-candy, Tas. Thanks for the treat! XD

 Thank you. I found it really calming and really informative. Apologies for the high res files but I thought it a lot easier than having to type the names - provided you can read my handwriting . . .

So far, it's been diluted Noodler's Kung Te Cheng and Anderson Pens Green Bay. But the day is still young (it's not even 10 AM yet here). So who knows what other inks will get used. B) Probably diluted Ottoman Azure, to finish the fill in the pen it's in -- I have too many pens in rotation at the moment, and don't really want to ink anything else up until I start getting some pens flushed out (I suspect that the KTC is going to go away for the time being -- it's not been real happy in the ebonite Konrad :().

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Thank you.

They are only quick scribbles to show off an ink's properties. I'm sadly up to five pages now

I've come to the conclusion that I like the Emerald of Chivor colour (I'm making do with Waterman's Blue Black) but really can't be doing with the glitter that goes with it.
