I love the look of the Iced Cookie, anyone know where I might be able to get that in the UK? I had a look but Cult Pens don’t have the ‘Sweet Life’ range - that looks like a 9must have’ dark teal!!

I haven't been able to find these either. I saw a couple on Amazon a few weeks ago, which then disappeared. I also spotted the full set somewhere in Europe (but I can't remember where), so I suspect they might not have been released here. For which I suppose my bank manager is grateful.

What about purchasing directly from Monteverde?

https://monteverdepens.com/monteverde-usa-sweet-life-90ml-ink-iced-cookie/

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

That combo is beautiful!

Thanks, I’m really loving this line of sheening inks.

Today. It’s Noodler’s for FPN Tulip Noir in my Montblanc Bordeaux 146 with a medium nib, again on a blue paper Graphic Image journal.

It's nice to see the FPN ink in use.  The combo is very nice.

Thanks, I’ve got three out of the four. I went thru a crazy decade long collecting period and now I’m realizing I’m never going to use up all of the inks I’ve purchased. If I ever want to buy more, I promised myself I’d do some downsizing first. Easier said than done, but it’s been good for my bank account.

Yes, I understand, I decided to clean out the inks that I'll never use again.  It has not been fast, because I'm giving them to people who will use them.

Oh and I just inked up Noodler's Audie Leon Murphy to write an FPN letter.  PXL_20210428_212548421.thumb.jpg.9aa5022537e46572e5c1c5c4223bd878.jpg

I was hoping to sell mine, but maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

Well, that's what the classifieds are for!  I've also declared a moratorium on new inks and pens - for every new pen or bottle of ink, I have to remove at least one pen or bottle of ink from my collection that I will never use.  This means that those cheap pens with fine nibs that I bought at the start of my FPN journey are leaving my life now that I know that I love BB cursive italic nibs.

They don't sell directly.

Even if they did, buying ink from the US is really hard for us now - the shipping costs are astronomical from most retailers (unlike the big European shops, very few offer free shipping over a certain amount). Then we have to contend with the risk of them held to ransom by the customs people with all their horrid extra charges so they become very considered purchases.

Is that a new ink?  Some sort of LE or store exclusive?  I'm not familiar with that -- but it looks like a fairly nice green.

For me, so far today it's been:

1) vintage Sanford Pen-It Brown, in the Pastel Green Sheaffer Snorkel Admiral, F? nib.

2) diluted J Herbin Bleu des Profondeurs, in the Pastel Blue Snorkel Statesman, EF nib.

3) Sailor Souboku, in the silver color Pilot Metropolitan, F nib.

4) Birmingham Pens Herbert Simon Cranberry Nobel, in one of the Parker Vector Geometric, F nib.

Probably later this evening I will be using Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Black, to cover over the bar code on some political junk mail that's getting "Refused -- Return to Sender" on it (it used to be that if you wrote REFUSED on mail, the USPS had to return it and collect the extra postage from the sender...).

Ruth, we always love pictures - you have an impressive ink collection.  And I am enjoying the hostility of forcing the sender to pay the extra postage. I'm going to do that on a few letters.

As for the Audie - I think it was one of the inks from the last Commonwealth Pen Show - back when we had pen shows.

The last Commonwealth Show I got to was I think a couple of years ago -- that was the year the Triple Tail pen was being introduced.  I don't remember that ink, but of course I was driving in from Boston's Metrowest area, and I suppose it could have sold out before I got there (I think I did pick up a bottle of Winston Churchill that year).  And last fall, on another trip to the greater Boston area, I picked up a bottle of Baltimore Canyon Blue at Bromfield's (which I gather had been originally from that year's Baltimore-Washington show) and which has become one of my favorite blue inks.

I'd have to figure out how to upload photos on the new system.  And that would be *after* I figure out how to get my new laptop and my phone to talk to each other....

As it is, I had to manually port the Covid vaccination paperwork to my old laptop, because at the moment the new laptop ALSO doesn't talk to the scanner and printer....  :wallbash:

Once you try it out you're going to be thrilled with the new system it's even easy pictures directly into your post instead of having to upload them first.
