Iroshizuku Take-sumi - MB 146 (MF) -- this is a lovely match for this pen, nice and smooth with just the right flow.

Montblanc Midnight Blue - Parker 51 Aerometric (MF) - the third ink I have tried in this pen, to get a flow I liked. I think I may have found a good answer..

Fukaki Hanada (Nakabayashi Taccia) Ukiyo-e, Katsushika Hokusai in Mont Blanc Le Grand 146, Le Petit Prince. This is a rather dull middle blue shade, I like it a lot. Great flow too.

MV Sapphire tonight, in my Pelikan 140.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

So far, it's been diluted Birmingham Pens Madame C.J. Walker Elegant Fuchsia, in the stainless steel Parker Vector, M nib.

I need to go through and figure out what pens (and inks) to pack for a trip, so I just refilled a sample vial with Iroshizuku Tsuyu-kusa (currently in the grey Pilot Decimo, F nib, and the M600 Violet and White, EF nib got a refill of Akkerman Laan van Niewe Oost-Indigo; the Silver Pearl Parker Vac Major, F-ish nib, got refilled with vintage Microfilm Black a couple of days ago. Not sure what other pens/inks I want to have with me.

Hmm. This afternoon it was Noodler's Black Swan in English Roses in a Sailor Pro Gear Slim with an F nib.

This evening it has been Graf von Faber-Castell Midnight Blue in a Kaweco AL Sport, EF, and Noodler's Monkey Hanger Blue in a PenBBS 352, REF.

Lined paper makes a prison of the page.

So far, Rohrer & Klingner Sepia in a Parker Victory. This is the wettest pen in which I've tried Sepia, and I look forward to how it will look once the sun has risen and I can see it under natural light.

I will probably also use Rohrer & Klingner Aubergine, which I have in my Parker 51 Plum Demi.

So far it's been super diluted Robert Oster Carbon Fire, in the Vibrant Pink al-Star, 1.1 stub nib; and Iroshizuku Tsuyu-kusa, in the Pilot Decimo, F nib.

Unfortunately, I think I've got Carbon Fire diluted to the point past usefulness. It's still somewhat legible on the page, but the ratio of distilled water to ink (this being the second time I've refilled the converter with distilled water) is making the mix have a sluggish flow, and I keep having to move the piston forward. :(

I'm going through a blue phase right now: trying to find a daily blue that I love to look at but doesn't draw too much attention to itself. Thus, as opposed to my usual daily carry of two pens, I'm now rotating through three:

J Herbin Perle Noire, in a Lamy Safari Umbra XF.

Lamy Blue Black, in my Lamy 2000, architect ground XF

Montblanc Royal Blue in an MB 146, pt, F (this is the rotating blue).

I inked my Ambition with MontBlanc just to see its color and I may be hooked very badly to that ink. It has a certain charm TBH.

Sailor [Jentle] Black - Pilot Capless Decimo fine nib

Custom mix of 3 GvFC inks that I've dubbed Mint Pastel and have 40ml of in an empty Iroshizuku bottle  - in 2 pens

Pilot Iroshizuku Tsukushi and J Herbin Caroube de Chypre - comparing these two against each other; they are surprisingly similar in their pink-cinnabar-brown base color, if not necessarily the final dried look

J. Herbin Vert de Gris - Pelikan M101N medium CI and Sailor Pro Gear Slim fine

Waterman Mysterious Blue (latest formula) + a tiny amount of GvFC Moss Green in a Montblanc 146 OM-CI

“I admit it, I'm surprised that fountain pens are a hobby. ... it's a bit like stumbling into a fork convention - when you've used a fork all your life.”

First fill of Diamine Sherwood Green, in a Targa 1001 (M).

I've been trying to find a green I like and will want to stick with, but am having trouble deciding what I actually like. Sherwood Green so far seems quite nice, doesn't scream "I'm writing with green ink!"
