Which Inks Are You Using Today?

Tonight I finally loaded up two samples, Stipula Sweet Pink and the Kyoto Nurebairo that fellow member Tas sent me to try.

What a great color the Nurebairo is! I was bowled over. Thanks again, Tas.

This Stipula is starting to grow on me. It's very pink and very bright but also soft, not so in your face like Pinkly!!!

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Jaques Herbin Bleu Di Minuit mostly. I kind of usually use the same inks, but this one's new. Other than that Shikiori Yonaga and Iro Shin Kai.

Tonight I used GvFC Moss Green and Diamine Dark Forest so I could do a side-by-side comparison in advance of the Pelikan M200 Brown Marbled I have coming. I was intending to use Moss in it but wanted to see if the DF (of which I have a full bottle) would do instead, saving me $32+s/h.

Coming to the end of a sample of Noodlers Turquoise, which might be as well because somehow it started writing a bit too wet to shade well, or to dry within ten minutes...

Refilled my Pilot Vanishing Point (yellow with gold Fine nib) with Sailor Jentle Blue-Black. Haven't used it for a while due to trying out other blue-black inks. It was a relief to see the Sailor BB on the page again -- I really love that ink. It's my favorite blue-black. Soft, with the right amount of teal, excellent water resistance, and while it is saturated it's not runny or over-lubricated, so it makes for fine hairlines and nice amount of tactile feedback for controlled writing with a very fine nib. It prompted me to shift a couple other blue-black inks into my trade stash.

Now also have a fill of Sailor Bungbox 4B in a Pelikan M205 Blue Marbled (F). This "fine" nib seems to write closer to an "extra fine". Guess that simply means it'll take a bit longer to finish this fill.

It's very simple an d I hope it's new.
