I did get to use the Diamine Carnival this evening. A nice enough red, on the deep side like I like them, reminds me of KWZ Red.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Today, so far, it's been KWZI Walks Over Vistula, in the Lamy LX. But I have some other pens which I need to either refill or flush, and refilling is less effort.... ;)

Hello everyone,

Still using vintage Sheaffer Skrip Black loaded in a Waterman 52 1/2:

Tonight I'm trying out the 1864 Blue-black but it's obviously in the wrong (too dry) pen because it's barely darker than the Diamine Registrar's in silverlifter's photo above. Judging from the reviews (and many people's complaints), it should be way darker, almost black. Will have to try a different pen tomorrow.

Worth noting that the photo was taken yesterday, perhaps 10 minutes after I wrote it. By today, the Registrars looks almost black.

Vintage. Cursive italic. Iron gall.

Interesting. Looks a lot like a Waterman bottle....

Birmingham Pens Southside Park Fern Moss in my wet noodle Waterman 52 -- just trying it out. It is too wet for Leuchtturm paper with this lovely nib but wonderful on Rhodia. An interesting dark gray with a green undertone.

In my Newton custom hard rubber with the vintage Waterman nib, a mix of Diamine Autumn Oak and Diamine Golden Honey. A bit too dry.

My Eversharp Skyline has Diamine Twilight in it.

Vintage Pelikan NN Tortoise is almost always filled with R&K Alt-Goldgrun, I never seem to get tired of that ink.

And then my carry pen, a new Pelikan M120, has DeAtramentis Document Black.

Before I buy some samples I'm still using the GvFC Grey cartridge that I was gifted by a pen friend. Thank you so much dear friend

Diamine WES Imperial Blue in Pelikan M800 Blue and Black with a Broad pf nib.

Your recent spate of photos is making me seriously consider buying a broad/wide italic nib... and this from a person who only uses EFs (and the occasional F). Wonderful photos...
