Sadly, this picture doesn't show the cool green sheen of this ink, which is also a bit more of a warm burgundy than I can get to show up here. The medium nib on my Cross Townsend doesn't have a lot of line variation, but it is silky smooth on this Graphic Image journal paper.

Still using Kobe #14 Maya Lapis Blue.

I hadn't used a Noodler's ink for a while and almost reached for American Aristocracy but ended up with the FPN exclusive Dumas' Tulipe Noire. Maybe we'll never see it again. Ended up using a pen as well that rarely finds its way into the rotation: an Edison Nouvelle Premiere.

Sailor Yodaki in my Platinum 3776 M. I used it to copy Clive James's The book of my enemy has been remaindered into my commonplace book. The color seemed appropriate to the subject. :)

Edited to replace mysteriously eaten punctuation.

Inks in use today:

fpn_1566668029__2019_08_24_inks_in_use.j

Those that have a line drawn through them were used up this morning. The numbers on the left indicate how well the ink performed in that pen (1=bad, 10=Outstanding). Obviously I won't being using Callifolio Carmin in my Kaco EF again - way too dry!

This journal came with my Oberon fancy leather cover. Everything feathers and bleeds thru it.

This Bexley Sheherazade with a piston fill mechanism and factory stub is one of my very favorite pens. Sadly, of the five I have, two need to go in for repairs. :crybaby:

I officially have nib envy. Is the EF flex good for Spensarian?

Hello everyone,

Today I am using two special inks with two special pens, first is Parker Penman Emerald loaded in a Parker 75 Grosse Cotes and the second is Parker Penman Sapphire loaded in a Parker 75 Florence:

I really love this picture! Well done!

Plus, I think I like Penman Emerald even more than Penman Sapphire.

Hey Fred -- is that vintage Skrip Peacock? (isn't it a fabulous color?)

Hi,

well, my swan flock was breeding well. ;-)

Give me some time to inform myself about Spensarian and what is a good nib to do it...

I have the feeling that others of my EF/F nibs would be better here, as this one is a bit stubbish.

Without flexing it (what is hard to do) it gives line widths of typically 0.31mm downstrokes and 0.19mm horizontal ones.

Best

Jens

I'm trying to rotate thru my collection and this one hasn't seen ink in literally years. I'm really surprised to find that these Montblancs are great little workhorses. One of these days I'll have to try a 149, since it seems to be the pen all the fuss is made about.

Today it's been vintage Quink Permanent Royal Blue, in a vintage Parker Parkette retrofitted with the 14C music nib harvested from a junker no-name lever filler.

@ DilettanteG -- Hmmm. I've never tried the regular Noodler's Blue-Black; that looks quite nice in your photo. How teal is it in person compared to something like 54th Massachusetts?

(I really need to stop reading threads like these... :wallbash:).
