I'm not getting any sheen at all l even with this firehose of a pen, my Pilot Parallel 3.8mm, from this Diamine for Cult Pen Maureen Iridescink. This HP 32lb. Premium Choice Laser paper is normally pretty reliable. Guess I'll have to sacrifice some Tomoe River to it.

Jacques Herbin1798 Kyanite du Nepal in my Pilot Parallel Pen with a 6mm nib.

This is the closest I could get with my iPhone. It's a little more aqua blue and a lot more sparkly in person.

Fred

All along the watchtower Princes kept the view

While the all the women came and went

Barefoot servants..too

Outside in the cold distance

A wildcat did growl

Two riders were approaching

And the wind began to howl

I haven't bought any samples yet so I'm relying on cartridges. Simple colors such as

Sailor Black,

Pilot Blue,

and thanks to my dear friend MsRedPen a GvFC beautiful grey-ish color which name now escapes me.

Nice to see you RBN :) The GvFC grey could be Stone grey?

Today I am using Iroshizuku shin kai (in a new Scribo Feel :happycloud9: ), Diamine Merlot, and Sailor BB :happyberet:

Tonight, I'm again using Cacao du Bresil in the Sheaffer Valiant. After realizing it not quite the bleeder I thought it was, it's starting to grow on me. Besides, I only have a few 'safe' inks that I'd use in vintage pens and they're all being used in other pens so I might as well leave it for now.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

A very unusual number for me to have at play at the same time:

  • Montblanc Lavender Purple in a Waterman Gentleman
  • Diamine Grape in a Waterman Gentleman
  • Rohrer & Klingner Scabiosa in a rebranded Jinhao x750
  • Rohrer & Klingner Sepia in a Platinum Balance
  • Birmingham Waterfront Dusk in a Sailor Fude de Mannen

Still using up the Sailor Kingdom Note Tanna japonesis in the Pelikan M101 Red tortoise.

Started with KWZ Chicago Blue (LE) in an Edison Mina. It's still a pretty wet ink especially if the feed is full but a nice color.

Last night, Fuyu-gaki and MV Sapphire; tonight, Yama-guri and Musk Green.
