Which Inks Are You Using Today?

Sailor Kobe Suma Purple, in a Sailor Pro Gear Slim F. I love both the nib and the ink, but they aren't a good match, because the line is too fine to showcase the subtle beauties of the ink.

Montblanc Lavender Purple in a Waterman Elegance M. A medium nib is somewhat broad for my hand, but it shows the ink to advantage.

Rohrer & Klingner Scabiosa on some dip nibs. I've been using this ink for years, and no ink varies more from pen to pen and from paper to paper. When used with my dip nibs on Rhodia, it looks quite black.

Today it's been:

some vintage Quink Green (in the black Parker Laidtone Duovac, F-ish nib)

vintage Quink Blue (in the Cedar Blue Parker 51 Vac, EF nib)

Edelstein Tanzanite (in the striated blue Pelikan M405, EF nib).

And while I haven't actually used it, I pulled out my grey Pilot Decimo, F nib, which is currently sporting Iroshizuku Yama-budo (I was checking the nib due to a query on another thread as to whether the poster's Decimo is a fake). Unfortunately, the pen seems to have burped a little, and now there is Yama-budo on the nib assembly as well as the nib. And possibly also in the cap....

Visconti Purple in my Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age. I haven’t used this ink in awhile, and realized I really like it. Might have to check out their other colors (I do not need ink...).

Vintage Quink Blue, in a Parker 51 Vac, EF nib.

Unknown blue-black ink, reconstituted, in one of the Parks 45s I picked up recently.

The last few drops from my sample vile of Noodler's Black Swan in English Roses. This is a brilliant match for my pen, paper, and writing speed.

Wondering if I should get two bottles or if one would suffice.

Visconti green and Diamine Evergreen.

Do you like your Visconti green? Images made it seem like it had a blue influence, but that may be my screen. I’m thinking of trying more Visconti inks. I only have Purple.

I just got my first preppy. Made it into a highlighter and am sampling Year of the Golden Pig. It's bright.

MB Lavender Purple, one of the best inks I have ever enjoyed, flow is amazing as is the texture and colour. A winner!

Akkerman Dutch Masters Ruisdael Stormachtig Blauw. Running it through my TWSBI 580-AL (pink), B nib.

Forgot how much I liked this ink. I should really try it super slick paper now....
