Private Reserve Midnight Blues. It is a beautiful blue almost blue/black but so much more on the blue side. It's almost like a royal blue but a bit more black edged. I am so stoked to have it now. muhahahahaw.

Before you judge someone walk a mile in their shoes. Then if you still judge them you will have a headstart and they will be barefoot.

Noodler's Concord Bream, not thrilled with it, kinda looks like washed out periwinkle on some papers...

This weekend:

Diamine Majestic Blue loaded in my Waterman Centurion blue marbled pen

Diamine Matador Red loaded in my Waterman Laureat red marbled pen

I love matching my pen and ink colours - anyone else do this?

last week I bought a new ink: Iroshizuku yama-guri (wild chestnut). It's a brown-black that has become in this short time my favourite brown ink!

Good morning..... well it is here, blue sky and frost; better than the recent rain and overcast skies. Umbar is still on card writing duty in the 149/B, my blue choice for the day is Sailor Sky High, seems appropriate given weather; it's in a Falcon/SB and of course the red is unchanged, Matador.

Have a good day.

For writing: Rohrer & Klingner Sepia

For drawing: Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-guri

For signing documents: Diamine Denim

In an autumn brown mood.

The R&K Sepia is such a lovely color - sort of a brown/grey, on the cool side, with a vague purple overtone. With my wet medium nib, it shows really dramatic shading in my journal. Damn, I love this ink. :puddle:

The Yama-guri is similar, but more saturated and a bit warmer chestnut color. Great for drawing. It's officially replaced the Omas Sepia as my go-to brown sketching ink for work.

Would you believe it? I'm sporting some Lamy Black in my vector today :D Not too sure what to think of it. It feels... bad to be using a black ink on my fountainpens. Does this sound familiar?

Still the ubiquotous (sp.?) Sailor Jentle Blue in the Classic Flighter.
