Oh my! The Noodler's "Squeteague" I'm writing with this morning is just stunning. Journal jotting this AM in my Clairefontaine A4, with a Lamy Safari medium. This ink is so fabulous. The shading I'm getting on this paper with a M nib is really breathtaking. iPhone photo to share wid y'all:

Pelikan 4001 blue-black. I bought it two years ago, tested it with a dip pen and then ignored it. I cannot remember why I chose to ignore it, but I recently bought a Pelikan m-600 and decided to try this ink in it. I love it. Nice color and it works well. Yay.

If you read about my misfortune this morning over the Writing Instruments forum, you'll know I have a Levenger True Writer (and two dress shirts) with J. Herbin Rouge Hematite 1670, a Pilot Metropolitan with N's Lexington Gray, and a Bulow X30 with Noodler's 54th Massachusetts.

Noodler's Blue-Black in my Lamy 2000 Fine for me today. I am loving this combination! I tried Noodler's Brown 41 first, but that did not feel as smooth or free flowing with this pen.

As my French teacher puts it, "la belle encre bleu" (Lamy Turquoise).

Besides that, a custom dark green made using X Feather and turquoise, and X Feather itself.

Just got a bottle of Black Swan in Australian Roses today too, so naturally, that'll be in rotation for the next couple of days.

Calculating.

"Waterman Blue Black" in a Waterman Dauntless. The wife said, "That's NOT blue black!". I said, "Well some folks in reviews say its teal..." "That is NOT teal!" So I said, "They renamed it 'Mysterious Blue'". "Well, OK." was the reply. Then some hours later I was instructed that it is in fact "Indigo".... Still searching for the best blue-black without any political messages on the packaging....
