How Do You Display Your Inks?

I don't display mine, I keep them put away in a dark closet. But I just dragged them all out for your viewing pleasure tonight. Here they are on my desktop extension, next to my printer. There are no empty boxes in this photo. And you will note that eBay has been my friend, I've scored full cases of both Skrip Washable Blue and Skrip Peacock Blue. Half or each went to my local pen club members, but I already had a bunch of Peacock Blue so I'm quite well stocked there.

My potions cabinet expanded.

Nice collection and I couldn't help notice the HP 11C!

Great machines aren't they. I got mine way back in early 80's and its still in regular use.

OOh.... This is so cool. Are those Rubintino inks on the left? And are those the old Visconti bottles?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

OOH You are my hero. I got mine in 1986 for Chemistry class. You and I have the only calculator that's gone up in value. It's worth more today than I paid for it in 1986. I bought it at Service Merchandise, a store that has long since gone out of business. Once I learned RPN, I have never been able to use an algebraic calculator.

No Rubintino inks. The left row rear are four Levenger inks. Left two rows front are four Paul Terban pewter-topped ink bottles filled with various Noodler's inks. It's much easier to fill a pen from those shorter bottles than it is from the tall tippy Noodler's bottles! Behind the two right Terban bottles are two more Levenger inks, unboxed.

The three Visconti boxes contain the old glass bottles with the pedestal bases. The clear plastic octagonal box next to the Noodler's array has the same shape bottle inside, but it's plastic. The two tall Visconti bottles are glass 100ml bottles, and then there are three 50ml plastic bottles between the two tall ones.

Wow, I like those Paul Terben bottles. Where did you find them? Overall, I'm really impressed. Are you sure you don't want to display them?

Just got a Wall Hanging Curio off of Craigslist for $5. Works just fine. Will update when Ink is in it.

I bought my first one directly from Terban and Company in March of 2006. The next two came from Swisher in November of 2006. I'm pretty sure the fourth one was an eBay find but I don't remember when that was. Swisher is now out of business, and I can't find any trace of Terban and Company either. Their web site is gone. And there are no Terban inkwells listed on eBay. So I don't have a clue where to find any more of them. They're really nice. The glass (actually lead crystal) is molded in actual 19th century molds. But the pewter tops are modern screw tops with silicone rubber seals, air tight and leak-proof. They were expensive, though, and not widely marketed. So I'm not too surprised that they folded as so many other small pen suppliers have in recent years.

I just finished organizing my inks and miscellaneous supplies:

I like how you have them evenly distributed and the JB Pen Flush is clearly used.

Wow great jobs! I'm impressed with the $5 curio cabinet. Also, the acrylic display is a great idea.

Not quite a potions cabinet, but...

Not too shabby for a high school student.

Now, can you spot the pen history and car show reference? ;)

Since I do not display my original ink bottles. here are my ink vials. Purchased the entire set from Goulet Pens, of course.

@maryannemoll - good idea! I confess to having written a letter on the tops of the samples - N for Noodler's, D for Diamine, DA for De Atramentis (oops, guess that's too letters).... You get the idea.
