VERY handsome. Looks like it fits the room beautifully.

It really does! Thanks HJB. I find myself admiring it every time I come into the room.....

My mother in law had an antique "lingerie" dresser. It is about 5' tall and 3' wide with 7 drawers. I decided to use it for my fountain pen ink and supplies. It works perfectly. Each drawer is the right height to get a tall bottle (Visconti) ink bottle into. And they are stored in the dark, which is always good.

Photos, please? Sounds like a terrific fit.

Why are there fourteen samples of dark plum ink on my desk? Because I still haven't found the right shade.

Is that a problem...??? : : : sigh : : :

Update: Great. Finally found one I love (Lamy Dark Lilac) but I can't get more. Ah, life in my inky world....

Stonezebra, I love the shelf. DrPen - I'd love to see the pictures.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

This isn't a proper display per say but a nice way to keep my inks organized and away from direct light source. Looks good on a desk also. Those decorative boxes are fairly cheap at Michael's. The larger black one below is for all my papers/pads.

What I REALLY love is the bull with the rose avatar. Is it a Pit bull? Pits get such a bad wrap here in America. But when breed and raised properly they're really wonderful companions. We can blame the media for the reason so many are in shelters right now. (You're just as likely to be attacked by a mean retriever as a pit bull, but that is never reported.) I love bull dogs and have rescued two.

"You mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger darling.” "Forever optimistic with a theme and purpose." "My other pen is oblique and dippy."

Lol, Yep, it is indeed a cute Pitbull. I agree with you 100%. Currently own a 10yo Red Doberman. When she passes, I simply can't get the same as my current one, named Mabel, can never be replaced. We will be getting a nice Bull when time comes...

I'd like to display my ink but I have windows on 2 sides of my home office and I'm afraid of UV degradation. So I keep my ink in the top drawer of my 1936-made desk. The ink boxes contain my full ink sample vials.

I keep my fountain pen accoutrements on the other side of the partition.

I have more ink than any sane person should have...my biggest conundrum is how to store them. Came upon these shelves at Pottery Barn recently and I think I might have solved my problem. I'm embarrassed to say I needed 3 of them to store all my ink. I mounted them in my den/library/woman cave. Each slot holds 2-4 bottles. So far, so good. 😉😉

Thanks for getting this discussion back on the first page. Seeing some of these collections makes me feel slightly less guilty for my recent ink expenditures.

Thanks Tas, Amber, TheInkLuminati and Pensai!

I've been scouring the Internet and FPN for several years looking for a solution to the ink storage/display problem. Finally found what I think works pretty well. Not too expensive. Well made. Holds every size bottle I have. Doesn't take up much space since they mount on the wall.

Here's a link to Pottery Barn "Cubby Organizer" in case you're interested.

Some great ideas here!

I've got my first full size bottles arriving shortly (Diamine Syrah, Ancient Copper, and Noodlers Apache Sunset)...so need something nice.

My desk drawer won't do them justice, lol.
