Wow! My inks sure wish I'd give 'em such a nice place to stay!! By comparison, mine are livin' in the garage....

OMG, that is awesome. My inks are now petitioning for new accommodations.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Did you not think of making it open with a remote control . . . with a squirt of dry ice for good measure ?

And a soundtrack of angels singing in the background...(pretty sure I could hear them in the background of the video).

VERY cool.

Why are there fourteen samples of dark plum ink on my desk? Because I still haven't found the right shade.

Is that a problem...??? : : : sigh : : :

Update: Great. Finally found one I love (Lamy Dark Lilac) but I can't get more. Ah, life in my inky world....

I sometimes think that my obsession to collect inks is unnatural....

I read somewhere that sunlight may cause inks to deteriorate so I don't display mine at all. The inks are stored in lidded boxes, much thicker than a shoebox but about the same size. They're kept on a high shelf. This not only keeps sunlight away but prevents visiting grandchildren from creating a disaster.

My pens are stored away too, some in a drawer, others in a nearby case, so the 4 cats can't gnaw on them in the middle of the night.

I envisioned something like this:

It's a good thing I'm alone in the office right now---I burst out laughing so loud, it would have scared my assistant half to death.

Forget angels. We're apparently going with choirs from the Dark Side. ;)

I don't display my inks because I don't want my man (who lives separately but comes over to my place every day) to see how many inks I have. It's bad enough he sees my jewelry...my FPs and inks would give him fits, even though I have less than 10 of each!

I have a new place to house my inks, with a little bit of a story. My father used to do a little woodworking as a hobby and he built a set of shelves for my mother to display small items. I kept these shelves when I was cleaning out their house after my parents passed away. I could never find the right thing to do with the shelves and just kept them in the basement. Unfortunately, we had a problem in our basement and the shelves sustained some water damage. I was going to discard them but my wife told me not to, and she had them redone by a local furniture restoration shop. I just put them up yesterday in my home office. With thanks to my father, my wife (and Hoffmann's Furniture), here they are:

Lovely shelves. Drawer space is icing on the cake! Great story.

Found this little shelf at a local thrift store a few weeks ago. My husband painted it white to match the other woodwork in the room and today he put it up. (it was a sort of a dusty rose color) These are most of my bottles of ink. (there are maybe 10 more I don't use as often or that are duplicates) The room is shaded and sees little sunlight.
