How Do You Display Your Inks?

It's a great foundation you've got going there. Nothing but quality inks!

I prefer quality over quantity. But there are so many great inks out there, that I would like to get my hands on...

When I first started out with inks, I bought without discerning and ended up with a base of 20 that, once I thought about it, I really didn't want.

I've since sold, but mostly given away, these inks to other FPN members. Now I'm a bit more choice about the inks I buy.

I was going to mention that I'm single. :)

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Confiscated this end table in our family room for calligraphy and writing supplies. I also have a few boxes of inks and other necessities patiently awaiting a home. I actually sit in the chair with a light box on my lap when I write. I don’t have a desk. My real office is in another room with a jeweler’s work bench, heaps of jewelry making accoutrements, and a computer desk. It’s a typical art studio, (bleep) stuffed into every nook and cranny.

As for inks, I am excessively persnickety when choosing fountain pen inks. My tendency is toward Japanese inks because of the smooth wet character and stunning colors. My first two inks were a Noodler’s and a Private Reserve, which I gave away. As for calligraphy inks, I’ve only found a few I really enjoy. But of course, I am only one year into the reawakening of the fountain pen junky in myself.

Those are white dots, which I then coloured with inks. :)

Where did you get such tiny white dot stickers?

I ordered some which should arrive tomorrow, but they are much larger, 0.75 inches. I couldn't find the teeny tiny ones.

I really appreciate the color printed on top of Iroshizuku & J. Herbin boxes.

They are in fact made from sticker labels with a paper puncher.

Well that was a clever solution! I'll keep this in mind if my stickers don't work out.

  • 5 weeks later...

I got a spice rack shelf to hold my small collection of inks. Don't worry it came with a second shelf for expansion. I'm getting ink for Christmas.
