How Do You Display Your Inks?

This one is better. The light on the third drawer has been too dark so you'll have to imagine the names. These are inks from the US that are not Noodler's - since the original cabinet is now mostly Noodler's.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Inks from the continent (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, France, Amsterdam, Italy and Poland) are here:

But I can't get the light correct to really show it off.

Nope, that's just years of work and friends who both enable and gift me their left overs.

I like your coloured dot system. When my collection of Sailor inks ended up at silly numbers (don't ask!) I ended up writing all their names on the tops of their boxes. They live in very large cardboard boxes stored in a cupboard.

All my other inks are spread around drawers and boxes - I'm highly disorganised :-(

Yes, the colored dots are great!

Also, how did you get KWZI boxes? None of mine have ever come in boxes.

I have a new place to house my inks, with a little bit of a story. My father used to do a little woodworking as a hobby and he built a set of shelves for my mother to display small items. I kept these shelves when I was cleaning out their house after my parents passed away. I could never find the right thing to do with the shelves and just kept them in the basement. Unfortunately, we had a problem in our basement and the shelves sustained some water damage. I was going to discard them but my wife told me not to, and she had them redone by a local furniture restoration shop. I just put them up yesterday in my home office. With thanks to my father, my wife (and Hoffmann's Furniture), here they are:

Really nice! :)

I used to keep my collection in a single drawer until my collection got bigger and the drawer was too small to accommodate it.

So now, I just keep boxes with a sheet stuck to them listing the inks that are inside the box.

The list on the box is handwritten so that if a box is not full, more ink can be added and the names can be written at that point. A separate excel sheet is maintained on the phone and PC.

I'd rather not display them. People would call me a lunatic since there are easily 100+ bottles, quite less than what members usually have here but quite high for a normal one ink person.

I really LOVE your color coding on the tops of bottles and boxes. I usually end up picking each bottle up to look at the label, and sometimes I end up picking up the same bottle twice. I am definitely going to get some colorful dot stickers to make it easier.

Drawer 4 ... wow!

Surely, you never thought that we were normal?

^Weeeell, none of us are actually. :)

Considering the stuff we are into and how much money we spend, definitely not.

Lgsoltek's drawer 1 made me re-think whether I should buy some MB inks since I don't have any. And then drawer 4 brought me right back to where I was, MB is going to stay, sailor holds top priority. :)

Ray, whenever you find yourself in an MB boutique, buy a bottle of whatever LE ink they have released. You will be glad that you did.
