Paper Vs The Ipad

I'm attempting to launch a new product geared towards the Pen & paper crowd and i would like feedback from legitimate pen users...

For people who wont give up their pens, pencils and paper, but find themselves equally attached to their iPad.

NOTEBLOX - magnetic, stackable iPad journals

NOTEBLOX are simple blank paper journals, with 12 separate magnets built into the back and front cover. The magnets hold the iPad secure in the back cover, and pens, pencils, styluses and other NOTEBLOX on the front. The magnetic binding system provides a simple and convenient package for carrying your notebook, stylus, pen and iPad together. When you've filled the pages the NOTEBLOX remains a clever object and is designed to be archived, rather than discarded.

If you think it could be improved for the pen aficionado community, please let me know. I'm very interested in developing the idea, but need more feedback to refine the rough edges... If you find our simple idea compelling please let us know. If you think it's ridiculous please tell us know that too. It turns out that having an idea is the easy part... developing the idea into reality is a (bleep)..

sincere thanks,

Clever. Here's my 2 cents' worth: Instead of a notebook that happens to hold an iPad, consider an iPad case that holds a notepad, pen and stylus. I tend to use my iPad separately from my notepad, but it's a pain to carry them altogether. Right now, I pretty much throw everything into either a backpack or a briefcase - depending on whether I'm in student-mode or shark/businessman-mode. Notebook users are finicky, and with so many options for notbook form and function, it would be tough to convert a bunch of Rhodia users... However - there are not nearly as many viable options for iPad case users, and no loyalty to iPad case makers. My daughter has been through several cases for her iPad, depending on her mood. The magnets are a great idea. If the magnets could attach a notbook "caddy" to the iPad - that might get some response.

Like I said - my 2 cents' worth.

Qui tam pro domino rege quam pro se ipso in hac parte sequitur.
