Nice Pajaro!

I still like the "EstieBlanc" moniker!

MB + Estie ? The coupling seems to be fine, NOW. Have you thought about the future ?

Which way are they going to raise the kids ?

The Estymont is still giving me writing pleasure. I have frankened another, a blue LJ. I think this blue LJ was my first Esty, resacked by the seller, and not expensive. I had a nice hot pink Reform piston filler of a larger size than a 1745, but it had a crack in the section that leaked ink. The nib is a gold-plated steel fine that is a delightful nib to write with. I had an old 2556 nib with all the tipping worn down to a stub and scratchy, so I knocked the nib and feed out and fitted the Reform fine nib and Esty feed into the collar, and put it into this LJ. Nothing spectacular, just a nice fine nib in a pen I like.

lol, I once (few years ago) had a spare MB cap and barrel and cut off the white stars on both ends (it was a flat top cartridge MB pen) and glued them onto an Esterbrook J cap and barrel... after some additional sanding work and polishing it really looked like they were supposed to be there. I don't have the pen anymore but that nib would've fit in there perfectly!

EDIT: Both pens were scratched up or cracked so I decided to play around with the spare parts.

Well, there's an idea. Buy one of those 144 splat caps on ebay and fit it to an Esty. Seems like a satanic act. Bash off the black jewel. Drill a small hole and screw on the MB black capstone. I am at a loss for words at some of these nightmares.

Uncap your Phaeton and write 5000 times "I must not be irreverent toward Esties."
