[EDIT] Infinitum I just noticed you are a very new member to FPN.

Please check out the first post in this thread for the general ins and outs of how the Loaner Program works. We'll be more than happy to Send you out your Estie to try once you get to 30 posts (not counting Chatter forum) and 30 days on FPN (which you are almost at).

Enjoy your stay here awhile and your Estie checkout will be worth the short wait!

30th post checking in! B)

Is the blue LJ still available? Although I think I want to try the EF nib instead of the F now. Not sure though. I'm conflicted. How fine is the fine in comparison to a Lamy Safari's fine?

Oh my - what have I stumbled on to. I have three Esterbrooks so I won't ask the loan of one even though it would be one I've never had or tried. The reason: because it would break my heart to give it back as I just know I'd fall in love with it.

I am an "Estie" addict and now with this I am going to add more to my family just so I can join this "loan" program as a loaner. Two of my Esterbrooks are very busy creating ink sketches and the only other one I have is very much in use as a daily writer so, as you can see, I definitely need more Esterbrooks. What a great program.

Could I please try the UK based Copper SJ? I promise to look after it very well!

Sure, I was wondering when a UK person would like to try an Estie!! What kind of nib do you like?

Send me a PM.

My loaner arrived today. I added some OMAS ink and gave it a go. It is a smoother nib than the last Estie I owned but it is not so wet a writer and skips a little. It could be my ink choice.

MANY THANKS FOR THE LOANER PROGRAM. I am trying the Estie J with a medium nib I believe.

Rob Maguire (Plse call me "M or Mags" like my friends do...)I use a Tablet, Apple Pencil and a fountain pen. Targas, Sailor, MB, Visconti, Aurora, vintage Parkers, all wonderful.

Interesting idea, I have wondered about the esterbrook pens and why people like them so much. I will have to do some research then maybe try this out!

For a quick down and dirty about Esties, look here, 6th installment down. Sorry for the lack of viewing the neat pics, I've notified the blogger about that. At least the verbiage is still there.

I will enclose a picture of my new Esterbrook which arrived in the mail today. Many thanks to David for finding a smooth writing pen for my ol' south paw.

The first picture is my Parker 51 and the New Black transitional J with a 9668 nib.

I will also enclose a picture of some handwriting using the loaner from GClef.

Next a short note with the new pen also. :puddle:

The pen was tested out with Noodler's Black.

Hi -- I'd love to try out this pen. Have been looking at J 9668s, but this near-calligraphic nib is fascinating.

Can you send you shipping via PayPal.

best,

Noel
