A previous correspondent suggested Herbin colours similar to Sunshine Yellow. I have no axe to grind with Herbin products but, experience has taught me, use them at your own risk. There are two well known ink products (and Diamine isn't one of them), which have the capacity to "gum-up" many good pens.

I have used a number of inks from different manufacturers, and I will say, I have had no trouble with my (60+) Diamine inks. Yes, I know yellows do gunk up, but I imagine this to be an issue with the dyes used in this colour spectrum.

Excellent. I hope you will drop by once you have 'inked up' and share your experiences with your new ink! Enjoy!

Thanks, Yes, it's very nice! The only problem is my imagination and finding something to do creatively with it . So not much to report but good ink.

Shopping lists, doodles, memos to yourself (so what if you have nothing to memo yourself about..), memos to someone else, little notes of joyful thoughts left at your local supermarket checkout......... the list is endless! So glad you like the ink though.

Here is some thing I did: I had previously bought a pack of Tesco Inkly Rollerballs, I decided to take one apart to see what's what then throw it away. I found that the feed section came out easily and saw I could reassemble it with the ink of my choice so I gave it a good flush and put the diamine in.

Stephen, that is fantastic! What a great idea - I have a couple of those lying around so I may well be tempted. It is a glorious day here and the Sunshine Yellow is just screaming to be used!

Yes :) if you do, pull the thin sharp piece out, it's fibre, flush it in water and it will quickly turn white, dip it in the Diamine so you will get a nice ink flow when you reassemble. Even better, hold it in the ink for about a minute.

I've been doing some more rollerball stuff with the Sunshine Yellow. I don't know why I keep calling the Tesco one Inkly when it's Liquidly! But I found out it is a brand in it's own right and have bought another type of the same brand and filled it with Sunshine Yellow, it seems to have slightly better ink flow and looks good with the ink level viewer. I also got some 99p shop rollerballs and filled one with Sunshine Yellow

Stephen hi! I love the rollerball idea a lot, however, I can't bring myself to not use a fountain pen!! How bad is that?! I value the updates on your experiments, thank you!

Hello Bhavna,

It's not bad if that's what you prefer, maybe there is some sort of use you may have for it in some way? I mostly use it in my notebook to highlight something that's done and completed so I don't need to keep reading it over and over. Like using a highlighter but with nice sunshine colour instead of harsh flourescent.

I also did a bit of mixing at the time with the 99p rollerballs, in one it is a golden colour and the other a dark olive. This photo gives an idea but the camera is not accurate in colour

I went with Diamine Yellow rather than this one as this seemed to lean to orange a bit too much in most reviews, whereas the plain Yellow is pretty straight up yellow. Pretty impracticle for general use though not as much so as Sheaffer Yellow. This Sunhine looks good as you've presented it and I think that hint of orange may make it more useful.
