Left Handed Italic?

Recommended Posts

I've just found an Osmiroid 65 that has a 'Left Italic' nib. The nib point (?) is slanted to the left, I think this should solve the problem...

it could but I found out that right oblique feels more comfortable for me but that is so to speak as an over writer with the paper perpendicular to me and on the middle of my body

Wow, Algester that was very a comprehensive overview. For my oblique cut quills (I use quills as I thought they would be easier and cheaper to experiment with than metal nibs) I tend to write so that the slit is facing left (for a right oblique). By that I mean I am underwriting with the pen effectively rotated 90 degrees clockwise. The reverse would be the case for a left oblique. I find that works well enough for me.
