The Sponge Bob cap really adds to the message.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

If I had that pen I would just sit and stare at it all day and never get anything written.....

Yep... I'd sit with you, staring at the pen.... but I would look up and read her other posts.

... and as for the pens, as far as I'm concerned Plistumi's pen room must be the closest you can get to heaven on this planet.

Well, that was the last of the DC Pen Show pens and of the "Ks". Those last two have me distracted from my daily chores, I keep staring at them. They also are both nice writers. So today we switch to the SF Show, which was lovely. This is teeny weeny pen. I did not think I would be able to write well with it, but I did.

Here are LABOR and LANGUAGE.

Cyber6 and mallymal1: Sapphire blue is a very nice color. It used to be my main color until I discovered that purple inks existed.

Today's word is LAND.

What do you mean "washes"? I know nothing of the techniques for how create something like this but am interested in learning. Any tips on technique would be greatly appreciated.

Love the artwork!

Amberleadavis: The green is a highly diluted Noodler's Green Marine

brader: I don't know what the techniques are called either. What I do is I dip a brush in the ink, or I dip a brush in water and then run it over dried ink, or I dip a brush in water and then ink.

Today's word is LAOCOON. I made a very poor facsimile of the famous sculpture that the definition refers to an that is in the Vatican. It is awful, so my apologies. Today I channeled my inner Ecce Homo by Elías García Martínez amateur restorator juices. (you know, the botched fresco restoration in a chruch in Spain?). The pen is a Wahl-Eversharp ladies purse pen.

That's some amazing shading! Great work, as always.

Are you out of ink yet? Do I need to send more?

I dunno -- looks like a good quickie sketch of the statue to me.
