Devil's Dictionary

Welcome back and I love the drawing accompanying Hovel. The man on the left looks just like our Prime Minister.

... and his jester?

For HUMORIST I drew a flapper juggling for an Egyptian pharaoh... What was I thinking?

An eye for insignificant details is a good sign you will do just fine in medical school...

As a sharp wit and powerful sarcasm is a sign that you already have.

Well, now you mention it, the figure on the right does look like his colleague, the Speaker, well her hair actually. So, you have his head & ears and her hair & the shape of her face. Great job!

Love it! Nice combo for the pen. I always expect verdigris to be more ... green?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Amberlea, it is greenish when wet and then dries up to a steel grayish blue. (To my eyes). By the way thanks to you and FrankC for the sample.

I am super happy to see them in use!

Oh, that makes sense, I was looking at a note from one of Frank C's pens with Verdigris and it is the same color as you show, but I would have sworn it looked green at the time. Now, I know I'm only slightly insane. :)

MyriamV, glad to be back.

Today's words are HYDRA and HYENA. The pen is a Pelikan Berlin inked with Montblanc Irish Green. Pretty ink. So pretty I washed my left hand in it. Now it is nice and green. Enjoy!

As if the pen doesn't make some of us Pelikan collectors green, you have to rub it in with a hand to match! ;)

WOW WOW WOW

That pen is amazing. I like the MB Irish green, but yours looks a little darker and flatter. I think it's because the pen overshadows all. :) Thank you for your amazing drawings.

PS

I love the political commentary too.

Yes, Amberlea, the pen is nice, very wet and the ink is really nice as well. I might actually purchase some of it.

Ethernautrix, aah those Kullock pens... myabe he will go to LA. Yum.

Pelikan Vera: Thanks for your compliments. I like those birds.

Today's word comes late. I had a headache (because I can't figure out what to wear to the LA Pen Show), and my foot is sprained, and I have 8 fingers on one hand, and a mole that talks, and a broken nose, and maybe cancer of the hair. Haha, get it? HYPOCHONDRIASIS.

PS: My dog just threw up on me. Yuck. No, wait, she swallowed it. Don't you love dogs? They are such wonderfully gross animals.

Well, it seems like this is it for me the letter "H," no más, se acabó, finito. I have illustrated a very common saying: HYPOCRITE. This is also the end of the Pelikan Cities display.

Oh no. I meant, this is the end of the letter "H;" there are still other letters left, namely "IJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ."

This is the flock of Cities all together in formation.
