Six Bexley Americanas, do they all have the same nib? Interesting how they have different trim. I guess that you like these pens.

Well, I admit I like the Americanas. The reason why I like them is because they seem to be a tribute to the Wahl-Eversharp Dorics which are one of my favorite pen designs. I am a sucker for faceted pens. Here is a little ladies Doric with an sweet adjustable nib. (I think the color is Burma Pearl, somebody please correct me if I am wrong.) The Americanas have different nibs, F gold, F steel, factory stub, and a medium.

Today's word is GHOUL. The ink is DeAtramentis Lilac. It is scented.

Uh...I just looked at this drawing again....Is that ghoul defecating on the grave? (That might explain the need for rosewater....)

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Pretty pen. Gorgeous ink.

The best part of course of today's confection, though, is (of course) the expression on the one shark's face....

These are always so much fun to see. You actually made me go out and buy a copy of the book a couple of weeks ago (and I thought the *ink review* people were enablers...). :headsmack:

Today's words are HARMONIST and HASH. Couldn't finish these fast enough. Not my favorite ink. It is a bluish purple, well-behaved but...blah. Off to brighter hues. We shall see what tomorrow brings.

PS: Anybody know where I can get a replacement cap of the 54v? The nib is spectacular, but the cap... has taken a beating (came to me that way).

It looks like the Rose ink is more likely to feather.

BTW, you are the only one who thinks it needs more work - I think your stuff is great.

Good luck finding a cap.

Amberleadavis: Looks like I will have to go to the DC Show to find the cap. Wanna come? By the way, thanks for the sample!

Today's word is HEART. I like this ink a lot, it is nice and smooth. The pen has a great nib, yum.

Let's play match the ink to the birds! We will go from newest to oldest (to the best of my knowledge). Here is the Picadilly Circus with Stipula Dark Red.

Today's words are HEAT and HEAVEN.

Amberleadavis: That is the idea. Thanks for the sample!

For today, I have HEATHEN. Check out the other side of the Picadilly Circus cap. I really like this pen. Yay! Than again, I have a soft spot for Pelikans and birds. Check out the bowerbird below, shiny, shiny.
