I am quietly enjoying this without comment. But if I do not comment you will not know how much I enjoy this work.

Here is a quick contribution to the dictionary: EMOTION.

Newjelan: The ink I used for this and the prior word is J. Herbin 1670 red. It is a beautiful color.

An eye for insignificant details is a good sign you will do just fine in medical school...

As a sharp wit and powerful sarcasm is a sign that you already have.

Thanks plistumi, it looks more orange than 1670, think it must be my iPad screen. I agree it's a great ink which just about does justice to your writing and drawing. thumbup.gif

Today's word is ELECTRICITY. Thank goodness for scientific curiosity!

Which is weird because on my screen it looked more *red* than 1670 (at least more red than my bottle of it).

These are always such fun to see, though. Of course I'm in complete envy over the skill and some of the lovely pens used.

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Inkstainedruth and Newjelan: It is hard to get the colors right. I have also noticed that reds tend to reflect when I scan them and the entire image takes on pinkish/reddish hue. It might be my scanner too. :-)

Ethernautrix: Yep.I am back. Life is almost back to normal. The routine is beginning to establish itself.

Today's word is EMBALM. I had a blast drawing this one. Took me all evening. The ink is Noodler's Violet Vote. It is a weird yet interesting purple. I originally did not like it much but I keep filling pens with it, so I must like it.

Today's word is ENCOMIAST. While I used mostly Noodler's Violet Vote, I could not help but add a dab of Noodler's Golden Brown. This one was fun too.

I have a couple more words for today: ENOUGH and END. I like the end of the week!

And that is "the end" for Violet Vote!

Today's word is ENTERTAINMENT. Made me remember all those days when I was a child, had plenty to do (play with) but was booooored.

Today's word is ENCOMIAST.

<snip>

Too many of these around in the modern world. In most cases we need less hagiography and more critical analysis. However in the case of these works of yours an encomiast would not be a liar.

Orangepenguin: Thanks for the compliment. Hope that you are enjoying them. I am having a blast doing these.

Today's word is ENVELOPE. The pen is a Frankiln-Christoph 19 pen. It is lovely. The ink I used is Noodler's Baystate Concord Grape. It is definitely a nice hue of purple, but it bleeds through like there is no tomorrow. I almost ruined one of my older sketches with it. Alas! The search for a purple continues.

That is why I chose to draw a brown-noser. They are not necessarily liars and most certainly are not saintly, yet flattery can be a type of deception. :happyberet:

For today, I enthusiastically say farewell to the Baystate Concord Grape. I am amazed how this ink managed to bleed through index card stock! Love the pen, though. I shall keep it in my rotation. Maybe I will put red ink in it to match the band. So without further delays, here is ENTHUSIASM:

Love Violet Vote and the "striped" blue/grey Pelikan. First saw one of these at the Melb. Pen Show in November, fell in love and want one. crybaby.gif

Keep it up!

Been awhile since I caught up. Love the Egotist drawing and that PR green shades so nicely. I may hafta splurge. Same for the J Herb red. As usual, the drawings are both brilliant and hilarious.

Glad you are all enjoying the doodles. Today's word is EPAULET. I used a Danitrio Sho-Hakkaku in Midori-dame green. This is bad because I may have caught the urushi bug. The ink is a sample from Sailor Rikyu-cha which our urushu enabler par excellence, Ethernautrix sent me. Thank you Ether for a beautiful color!
